i'm seriously thinking of making a change after this deer season to a T/C with the comfort tech stock. i like the idea of being able to swap barrels btwn .35 wheelen and "something else".
i see that the 6.5 credmore is available and i'm developing a real fascination with this round. it would probably be my round to use outside of primitive deer season.
i'm open to suggestions and really like watching the OB bat things around the horn.
i'f it makes any difference, i'm a LONG TIME .30-'06 hunter and still think the round is proof that God loves us hunters and wants us to be happy.
tia, i'm listening

I have one with a few different barrels but the .35 whelen stays on it full time now. I have the 26" pro hunter barrel, with 200 grain federal fusions it shoots moa and is a freakin hammer on deer.

Glad y’all are talking about the .35s. I have one and have shot hornady, fusions and Remington’s through it and can’t hit shite.

Seriously thinking it’s my mounts

I've been shooting T/C's for many years, although most of mine are Contenders w/ 14" handgun barrels. I do have one Encore frame and 2 Encore barrels, a custom 22-250 Imp and a 250 Savage. I've been happy w/ the accuracy of my Encore barrels. In general, it seems as if the accuracy of the Encore's in line w/ most factory guns. I will warn you though that if you like your second barrel, chances are you'll probably end up buying a second frame to avoid placing and replacing your barrels. It appears as if 6.5 CM ammo is some of the most accurate factory ammo around.

Originally bought mine with the for the muzzleloader but have since put a 35 whelen barrell on it. I shoot the 200 gr fed bear claws and have had very good luck with it. It packs a punch on both ends but it’s a great combo gun!

Encores are notorious about certain barrels being wildly inaccurate. The front stock attachment can make it better or worse. I have a contender and an encore w several barrels for each. Prob won't ever buy another though. Even when they shoot good, it isn't generally as accurate as a good bolt gun.

I have the 35 and a 308 in bergera barrels, both have the dnz mounts.

Have not spent a ton of range time but they do both group at 100. I shoot corelocks out of the 35 and the 308 I noticed it does not like premium ammo. Flames will shoot a few feet out the barrel.

I have 7mm-08, 204 ruger, 17HMR barrels for mine. The rimfire chamber is drilled off center so the firing pin strikes the rim and has the same scope and rings as my 7mm-08 barrel for off season practice and plinking back when I rifle hunted.
