Young Saints fans took it hard

This is only one example of many that are coming out right now. For children still learning how to express their emotions, that game must have been extraordinarily difficult. I mean, look how the grown adults reacted!
There was a post by wwl on facebook that was talking about it this morning, and a lot of young fans cried it out.
Welcome to Saints fandom, youngins!

I’m only 30 and have had my fair share of saints heart breakers. Hopefully this will be their worst ones

No doubt. We’ve seen more than our share over the years. Hell, Atlanta named their Hail Mary the Big Bend, they beat us so many times on last second TD’s. This was all before Payton and Brees mostly, so I think we don’t expect that to happen anymore. But it sometimes does. Still a very good season!

Oh yeah, these kids have it so hard having to watch the Saints lose their 6th game of the year in the playoffs. Spoiled little bitches don't know how good they have it.

I'm 26, and I remember missing the extra point against Jacksonville, the Beast Mode run, San Fran game, blocked extra point against Denver last season, and plenty other devastating moments and I wanted to cry Sunday night. I was nauseous until yesterday morning. I don't blame kids for being upset, they don't have the Gleason blocked punt or the Super Bowl to think back to and feel a little bit better.

I’m 36 and if my wife would have recorded me the other night that’s how I would have looked, granted I was at work, we all looked like that, just like girl in video lol. I’ll never forget after beast mode run against Seahawks turning around and yelling at my wife. That’s when she said I need to re-evaluate my self
Overall I’ve been somewhat more chill. To be fair, she was trying to discuss women stuff right after the run, I mean really?

Yeah, I feel bad for the youngsters for sure. We older folks who remember the pre-Mora days were numbed to Saints losses literally from birth, so we had that extra "cushion", so to speak.

My son is 13 and has been watching football with me since he was born. I tell him all the time about the 2 Billie Jos, Brooks, Blake, Tolliver, Everett , Fourcade, Hebert and how much they sucked compared to Brees and how good he has it watching a QB as good as him. He was pretty bummed Sunday Night too, but he got over it.

Let's keep things in perspective.
The Saints were born in 1967.
They have ONE road playoff win.
They first won the Division in 1991, a full 24 years after they were born.
2017 was a GREAT season for the New Orleans Saints, when one puts things in perspective. This is a "hard luck" franchise that has never had the advantage of playing in weak Division. The Saints shared the Division with Joe Montana's SF 49ers for Joe's whole career there. That's a lot of years. The Saints are in the NFC South, which is probably the toughest division now.
The Pats have enjoyed their Division, with its NY Jets, Bills and Dolphins. This is not a historically strong Division.
The Steelers have enjoyed THEIR Division, with its Browns and Bengals -- yes the Ravens are usually a good team.
GO SAINTS GO!
It will never be easy for the Saints. I feel certain of that.

This takes me back to my youth. I went to my first Saints game back in 1967 (yes, I'm old...insert jokes HERE.) The Saints were playing the Pittsburgh Steelers and had yet to win their first game. The led 10-0 late in the 4th and gave up 2 quick TDs to lose 14-10. I'll never forget walking back to the car with my dad and hearing him saying, "well, that sucked. Hopefully, these tough losses don't become a habit with these guys." ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
