The truth is most shitholes are shitholes because of the people there. We can blame imperialism, whyte devils, and socio-economic classes only so much. At some point we may have to just admit that maybe the way the world looks is the way it actually is.

There are talented people in every country. We should be inviting those people and not mass importing their underclass.

First, who wants to incentivize people from "shitholes" to come here? And in what way?

Have you already forgotten all the Syrians Barack Hussein Obama and the dimocratix brought over here (at our expense) and dispersed throughout the country?

Funny what happens when people who are driven are given an opportunity.
They may be driven, but they are absolutely NOT of the common nigerian population. The people that can afford to move from nigeria to america are basically the upper class of nigeria. The avg nigerian is way too poor to afford travel.

The nigerians that come here are ones who grew up with private tutors who taught them english.

Then why are people from shithole nations more likely to be on government assistance?

Good lord. Immigration is a power specifically enumerated to the Feds. You are a little slow, aren't you?

Well their country didn't become a shithole for no reason.
I mentioned earlier in the thread but I'll say again a different way.. shithole countries are usually shitholes for one of two reasons (or both).

1. Their government is shitty and corrupt (which isn't necessarily a reflection of the country's populace)

2. The country has been taken advantage of, whether economically or militarily or in another way, by wealthier countries, in some cases for centuries.

He calls them shithole visass, you call them diversity visas. He wants non-shithole visas, you want H1Bs

It has the same undercurrent meaning (yet his side is the one labeled as classifying humans )

I've worked in Nigeria and dealt with a lot of Nigerian immigrants here in the U.S.

Here's a cold hard truth:

Nigerian Bachelor's degree <<<<<< U.S. Bachelor's Degree.

Their whole system is designed to make them "look" marketable to outside companies. Most of them don't actually know shite. Their resume's are a long list of lies and embellishments.

The U.S. labor market disagrees.

What's your source for this. Genuinely curious.

Food stamps, public housing, medicaid, and various other public benefits cost more than what the person earns in a year. If they happen to have children who do not know how to speak english before entering k-12, that child costs about 50% more to educate than a child who can speak and understand english already.

Why would you assume he was thinking of race instead of education and skill sets? It's because you are racist as frick and project your racism.

Amen.

It pisses me off to see true racism. And this is a great example.

I value your son in law more than you do I suppose,
That'e because you've never met him.

The article you linked doesn't mention what the Nigerian degrees are in. So what are they in? What marketable skills do they have?
You serious? I mean, really?
Yes, serious. Maybe we're thinking differently about the word "marketable". I'm thinking of marketable in terms of skills that America needs. Doctors, engineers, stone masons, carpenters, plumbers, etc. Something they can bring to the table to help build America. So obviously a professor in a filed where we need more professors would have a marketable skill. I used my son in law as an example of someone who will have a degree in a field where there is already a surplus of people with degrees.

I'm on the board of a local hospital here in Los Angeles. You should hear the older Asian doctors talk about what immigration to the USA was like in their day, how difficult it was. I know this is anecdotal, but to a person they oppose today's policy of letting unskilled immigrants in the country because they end up becoming a burden rather than a positive for America.

many are doing just that

here is my anecdote: a good friend of mine from college is Nigerian. He came here to get an education and is now a doctor. He is heavily involved in improving and building hospitals in Nigeria and other African countries now.
