Wow. That's a bold statement.

O admitted he is taking a risk for hireing E.

Good thing Steve says he doesn't read anything in the media

They're obviously not familiar with our Athletic Director.

of yes ... CBS Sports...
they never exaggerate ...
I believe it is a risk for sure, but with Sullivan helping, it may not be as big as portrayed.

A better metaphor would be taking the Mercedes back to the dealership because the seats were too stiff, unlike your old broken-in 2002 Saturn

Either Orgeron simply doesn't understand how close he is to losing his job, or he knows and he's firing his last bullet with a guy he he thinks is the best...Ensminger.
I'm not sure what's worse. But, neither predict success.

I wanted to keep Canada another year if and only if the disharmony on the staff could have been cleared up. and calling him a new Mercedes is about as stupid as hyperbole gets.
also, calling SE a 2002 Saturn is also wrong as hell. i'll bet his offense in 2018 avg's more points and a much better red zone result than Canada's .

It is a big risk, but Sallee is a big douchebag.

I'm hoping Steve is more of a muscle car than a Saturn. We'll see, I guess.

You mean more than orgerons meddling offense. Don’t call that whole offense Canada’s. It was maybe 50% of what Canada does but I’d never expect you to get that.

quote:Or, Orgeron is in over his head and is trying to surround himself with friendly faces. The article OP references states that Orgeron has tied his fate at LSU to that of Ensminger as OC, and it is hard to argue with that. The 2018 schedule is brutal, but it doesn't mean LSU can't show offensive improvement. But, if it doesn't or, even worse, if the offense regresses, Orgeron has set himself up for lots of second-guessing and criticism.

An even better one would be taking the Benz back tot he dealership because you couldn't find the gear shifter.

Seems like Orgeron is bringing us back to the good 'ol boys network days....when I saw Democrap governor Bell Edwards at practice the other day, it feels like we're going back to the Edwin Edwards era.

With the way the Canada thing played out I'm beginning to think that O's career at LSU was basically over when Kiffin turned him down to go with FAU.

I don’t like Orgeron or the hire of Ensminger. But I clicked on that link and saw it was a Barrett Sallee. Will not read. He is a hack with a clear anti-LSU agenda.
