LSU isn't 75% of college football, LSU should be in the top 30 programs year after year due to recruiting, the state, the facilities, the stadium, the conference, etc...

Lethargy in Tiger Stadium. Literally squeezed all the fun out of football. Injected the program with a new level of DUMB that extends even to this day. For all the ‘good guy’ tributes paid to Miles, he was a slow growing cancer on our program and how I wish he would never have tasted the grass of Tiger Stadium. I felt it would take 5 years minimally to recover from his ineptitness and stubbornness that drained the life out of LSU football and we are barely 2 years int the recovery process.

LSU is better than the top 20 year in and year out. Acting like Coach Miles didn't have anything to do with 10 wins a year not being good enough is dumb. Not many schools outside of the top 10 getting rid of a coach with his winning percentage.

This, hands down, is the absolute worst thing Miles did. Nothing else comes close.

Miles ending 5 year stretch he was fired over has more wins than any other coach's 5 year period at LSU.
The only cancer seems to be spoiled fans and he is a victim of his own early success.

Totally agree duke v.... people quickly forget that Miles was one of the most stubborn humans around. True colors are coming through in his inability to get another job. Great guy. Love him to death but stubborn as hell.

I'm not sure how anyone can interpret my comment to mean it was "O's fault Miles got canned."

Miles agreed to hire O as a position coach.

There is no way O gets to be "interim HC" if he is not already on the staff.

There is no way O get hired to be HC if he is not first interim HC.

Get it?

I was responding to the prior poster's humorous and ironic comment.

And you made my statement true. Leslie made 10 wins not good enough for you entitled spoiled fricks. Ask 75% of college football if 10 wins a year is easy or acceptable?
75% would be happy? Sure - Indiana, Utah State, Middle Tennessee, etc. would be thrilled. But they're not who we're measured against.

LSU isn't (and should never be) satisfied with being in the top 25% of FBS teams. That's the top 32 teams. You may be fine settling for that, but I never will.

With our recruiting, facilities, money, tradition, etc., our real competition is the top 3 teams in the SEC and 5-8 others nationwide. Top 10, in other words.

So again, 9-3, with 3 losses to SEC West teams, and a win in a shitty bowl ISN'T ACCEPTABLE, even if it adds up to 10 wins.

all i know is Miles was 10-10 in the SEC West over the last 3+ years, with elite talent. That couldn't continue.

How do any of those statements support your claim that I argued it was "O's fault Miles got canned"?

I can understand someone thinking I am arguing that it is "Miles' fault that O is now coach" which might be partially true.

I'm not at all claiming it was O's fault that Miles got fired. The other guy said "letting O oust him."

I'm curious, do you know of any back-stabbing stuff going on behind the scenes that O did? That would be the Louisiana way of doing things.

Maybe it is not as much as a couple of the areas like QB and depletion in trenches and more of he continue to be paid by LSU because no one is interested in hiring him or he is being very narrow on what he will consider.

Loved the guy but do believe it was time for a change since he would not change.

Listening to him babel incoherently.

T bob snapping the ball to save the game because his coach doesn't have a play ready.

Miles trying to call a timeout because he doesn't know the clock stops on change of position.

Miles throwing his QB under the bus, saying he didn't say clock the ball, Baton Rouge TV showing him on the sideline making a motion to clock the ball.

Miles not changing QB in 2011 Natty when the team only had 50 yrds of offense at half.

Miles saying the engine was stinking strong when asked about changing the offense after the 15 collapse.

Miles blowing a 21 point lead to Tenn at half in Tiger Stadium, when we were loaded with NFL talent.

Miles refusing to throw the ball in the 06 Auburn game until the clock was running out and we came up short losing. Lsu had 4 1st round draft picks on that team, 3 on offense, 1 QB 2 WR and he still refused to throw the ball.

I could be here all day with the poor coaching he put on display.

We won most of the games, except when the other team had superior talent and coaching was needed.
