Here's a question: What actually IS Coach E's offense?

Accidentally posted this on the changes board. Intended for here.
Don't point to last year. He didn't install that. Teach it or create the playbook.
Some might say, "well, he was OC at AU for a year" to which I'm going to say this. He'd already been at AU for 2 years as a position coach. So. Did he just take over the existing offense and keep rolling with it or, did he install HIS offense?
Seriously. Do we have any fricking way of even knowing what a Coach E designed offense looks like?

That's what I'm thinking, bunch drama queens on here, just wait and see what offense he installs, formations, play design/ schemes and timely play calling he can come up with.

Um, at a major school, you don't hire a guy to SEE what he's capable of.

The best possible outcome is it will be Kiffin's offense being called by Steve Ensminger. That will fit the rumored offensive changes including Sullivan's role and Kiffin's timely public statements. Someone leaked that Orgeron reached out to Kiffin to speak with young Briles. Maybe he just reached out to Kiffin about the playbook and getting Ensminger to meet with Briles to discuss the offense.
"Hope and pray!!"

Ed wants to run USCs offense from the early 2000s. So our TE coach who has failed every time he was a coordinator and doesn't want the job will be attempting to run an offense that he's only seen on TV.

Pro style, spread, dual threat QB, multiple yet simplified
I think that covers it
ETA: oops that’s coach O’s offense. Not sure about E lol

There is a reason Coach E has shown no interest in being OC.

He’s going to run Orgeron’s offense and he won’t put up any resistance to doing so... which is why O wanted him.
Yes, our offensive guru (Orgeron) will be designing this MF’er. The rest of the SEC might as well just give up.

He does not have an offense. He is just googleing and copy catting. Ensminger, Alleva, and Orgeron plan on spending at least 5 hours per week with an etch a sketch, as they redesign LSU football.

We need an Offense best suited for Brennan.

Whatever O tells him it is.

One positive is that Ensminger seems to be curious and adaptable. He is amenable to doing things that seem to work and doesn't seem to have a big ego to get in the way of this. He knows football and I am hoping he will craft a competent offense. Nobody knows exactly what it will look like, but every time lately Ensminger has called plays, the tight ends get more receptions--which I consider to be a healthy thing. I have never seen him run a power spread, but that doesn't mean that he can't. I would expect our offense to look much like it did when he was O.C. here though as a starting point---which isn't terrible (except against Bama and Florida when it was). Perhaps he can add some concepts that address these deficiencies. Nobody knows right now.

I'm going to give him a chance to prove himself.
Remember win Les hired the Cam, a proven OC and a dud at LSU.
Cam quits, Ensminger takes over, and with the exception of the Bama game, LSU offense was 100% improved.
This stuff is not only out of my hands, but I also know that I, along with probably at least 90% of the people that post here, aren't qualified to evaluate and select an OC.
I hope Ensminger proves everyone wrong, not because I'm a fan of E, but because his success will mean LSU success.
If he's a dud, I say run SE, EO, Aleva, and FKing off next year.

Probably won't change to much. Probably based around n cams and Canada's using what works and throwing out what doesnt

I like Georgia's Offense with Fromm; who's a very good passer with "Pocket Mobility" and enough elusiveness to move when he has to. That's all you need. Don't need a running back playing QB. Have to have somebody that can throw the football.
Brennan fits the bill, but woe is us if he goes down.
Narcisse hasn't played a football game in 3 years, has the 2 surgically repaired knees and hasn't shown any consistent accuracy throwing the ball in practice.
McMillian would be an emergency QB only. You're not winning the SEC West with him and more woe is us again if he ever has to take any significant snaps in an SEC game.
Why didn't we sign a QB? Better offer the kid from Riverside a scholarship instead of the PWO nonsense.
BTW, the CO-WR COACH thing will be better than what we've had in many seasons. Let MJ recruit em and Sullivan coach em. The productivity of the WR's will be much improved immediately with "Methusullivan" teaching them and Brennan throwing to them.
Just wish our starting RB wasn't playing at Clemson though.

O is printing up the USC offense from NCAA 05 on PlayStation and is getting E to install it.
Dual RB out of I formation. Play action full back flat. Unstoppable!

What happened with Etienne? Did he chose Clemson over us because of immediate playing time or what?

When he started being an OC he was one of the first to use the Spread Offense. I think last year in the Bowl Game that most of that was his Offense. He showed a lot of Spread and I Formation. He also likes to use the Tight End. No one mentioned that Foster Moreau is a beast since Steve has been coaching him. Also at Auburn he help develop Jason Campbell who was a First Round Draft Pick.

Well that's not true. Steve said he doesn't know how to use computers.
I'm not kidding.
