My Letter to the Board of Supervisors

Long read, and probably will do no good at all...but we have to let our voices be heard. Not just the big boosters either. All of us...take a few minutes and send them your thoughts.
Dear Board of Supervisors,
I am sure that this will fall on deaf ears, but as a fan, I must try. Never do I think that fans should have an absolute "say" in business affairs of the University...we are not Tennessee. However, I do think that the fans should have a voice that is actually heard by the powers that be.
I grew up in the Baton Rouge area and have been an LSU fan since birth. Though I now live in Florida, I still bleed Purple and Gold. My kids bleed Purple and Gold and they have never lived in the great state of Louisiana. Point being, being an LSU fan means more than just living in Baton Rouge and being a part of the game day tradition. Its a family, and as of late, the University has been letting us down. All of us...anyone who calls themselves a Tiger.
We have an Athletic Director who despite doing some great things, has absolutely let the biggest piece of the Athletic Department suffer. We have a President who only truly cares about himself and money...though by letting this continue, the school will lose money. We allowed a coach to continue to hold our team back from progression, and replaced him with a coach who has no business running a team, and has completely done a 180 on what he said he would do to get the job.
Now we plan on promoting a guy who has not run an offense in 20 years. What part of that is giving us the best chance to succeed? Its not, it is a power play by Mr. Alleva and Mr. Orgeron to keep us relevant enough to not get themselves fired. But what happens when we lose our prized possession in Mr. Aranda?
We have committed millions of dollars in buyouts to coaches who no longer work here and we continue to not learn from our mistakes. Are we truly going back in time?
My point is, I will no longer support LSU football until some real changes are made that will actually better our great University and bring them back to prominence. No, my support is not great. I do not donate to the university. I do not have the ability to come to the games. But I do buy merchandise and more importantly, I teach my kids what it means to be a Tiger. I will be putting away all of my gear, and I will talk to my kids about why we will no longer support the program. What you will lose from me is a generation of new LSU fans.
I hope I have not wasted my time, and I hope more fans with, deeper pockets, share my views and will join me in protest. I look forward to the day I can be a fan again.
Regards
Former LSU Tiger

Too long.
Full of way too many assumptions.
Sent immediately to junk folder/ trash bin by anyone who reads it.

Not everyone is a tigerdroppings level retard who can’t stomach the thought of reading 3 whole short paragraphs FYI

Won’t work. But we need a gorilla campaign sending emails to every department.
Ag department
Science dept
Law school.
Email everybody that works for LSU until they notice.

Honest opinion: terrible writing for a persuasive letter.
Agree with your sentiment, but this is not persuasive and is sloppily constructed.

Its not going to be read anyway...not the point. I wrote the email while on a conference call at work. Just blast them. How well its written isnt going to change their mind.

I will never understand the "I'm done until change" people. You are a fan. You are not entitled to a say in the program, and until recently, you never wanted one. If you quit being a fan because you don't agree with decisions by the people who run the program (decisions that have yet to be demonstrated as wise or poor), then you were never a true fan to begin with. Good riddance.

Well if they're going to delete the emails and not read them make sure you put f... you for the title.

I would just take out the stuff about F King and just say how Orgeron completely lied to the fans to get the job and how inept Alleva is at doing his job within the football program. It's been said that Sterlin Gilbert wanted in and Alleva wanted him but Orgeron said no. Excuse me? Alleva should welp, sorry O but Gilbert is going to be the new OC and if you try to meddle in his offense then you're fired. frick it. Our whole administration is already completely screwed. Maybe if we had ANYONE with some nuts a leader will emerge and that's what this program needs.
Goddamn I'm sick of talking about our terrible football program. I just can't believe my eyes and ears when it comes to this shite. A documentary needs to come out in 20 years about all of this. "What if I told you that a blue blood university turned mentally retarded and made the worst hires in recorded football history and didn't give a flying frick about the program itself"?
A 30 for 30 film called "frick It".

Untie your panties my friend...if I wasn't a fan, I wouldnt be here. The point is to let them know we are pissed. They will do what they want regardless of what we say...but we should still say it.
And hiring a guy without proper vetting, then spending $1.7 mil to make him go away after a year because they couldnt make up is a poor choice. Hiring a coach because he sounds like us is a poor choice.

I love the idea, but I'll be honest...someone sends me a letter that starts like this, and I'm stopping reading right there. If you're going to not only assume my ears will be deaf to your letter but straight up tell me I won't listen...then why would I bother to?

One of the “insiders” posted here last night that the BOS stopped reading all the fan outrage emails and they don’t want to hear anymore about it. So take that FWIW.

I faxed them an image of my butthole. We'll both get the same amount of attention.
