Sterlin Gilbert will be given an interview.
Don't know if we're "vetting" candidates in an attempt to camp down the riots if E is hired, but a good sign nonetheless that we may attempt at modernizing the offense.

I little early to celebrate that no?

If true, then a good sign. He is one of my top three choices.

What makes Gilbert a candidate? I looked at his resume again. I'm not impressed. He hasn't called plays in bigtime ball (at a pressure cooker).

Have to cut your teeth at some point, I'd honestly rather risk it than settle...

for 1 season and then on to South Florida with Strong

I don't know how I feel about this, but it's better than Ensminger. I just don't see him as a true power/pro spread guy, which is what I would prefer.

Share with me what you like about Gilbert. The resume doesn't jump out at me. Is he a QB Developing guru?

I agree. This will be his 6th stop in 6 years.
I'm optimistic we're vetting candidates with a spread philosophy though - hoping we can land a better candidate that wants to open things up.

Why the hell does every candidate have to be the most experienced OC in the country? Who does impress you just out of curiosity?

Freeze, Kiffin, and Sarkisian.

Ensminger does not want the job, didn't want it last year.

Briles and Kiffin have coached big time ball. Gilbert outscored them this season with comparable competition.

Hope you're right, but folks do change their minds.

You’re literally the only poster i’ve seen voice their dissatisfaction with Gilbert in multiple threads.
