It was something I never really expected myself to enjoy as much as I do when I was a younger lad.
It started out with my wife and I going to see The book of Mormon on a whim because we heard how funny it was (it is). Since then, we have been hooked. I respect these talented people and the production they put on infinitely more than 98% or modern musicians.
So far we have seen:
The book of Mormon
Rent
Chicago
Phantom of the Opera
Dirty dancing
Annie (2x)
Jersey Boys (probably my favorite)
Kinky boots
I think I'm forgetting some
And we have tickets for about 5 more before may:
Hamilton in Chicago next month (stoked)
Lion King in Birmingham
Stomp, Jersey boys again, and Motown all in Chattanooga.
What are your favorites? No, I'm not gay. At least I think I'm not. I've never really tried it.

What is the last play you and your boyfriend went to?

Negative, slept through Wicked.
No appeal to me.

We catch most of the shows that come through. The big shows anyway...
Jersey Boys is definitely up there
Phantom is a classic. Looking forward to it again this Spring.

I'm stoked. The soundtrack is great. We went all out and got tickets in the first couple rows of the balcony. They weren't cheap...

Never been a fan of musicals and the same goes for musical movies, with rare exceptions. I saw Wicked on Broadway about 10 years ago and it was better than I was expecting but I still would have rather gone to a drama.

Was in show choir in high school. Sounds gay, but it was on the national level and our school was very good.
Also my home town has a very old theatre that still runs shows. Lots of famous people have acted there.

The only one I have seen is Monty Python.
It was hilarious, but I can't say I'm into musicals. Id rather spend my time/money elsewhere

Don't go see kinky boots (which was really good, btw).
It goes to show that men are even better at being women than women are.

Took my gf to see Mamma Mia last year at Tuacahn Amphitheatre in St George, UT. I highly recommend that venue. St George is only a 2 hour drive from Las Vegas. Also took her to Starlight theater in Kansas City to see an American in Paris and Grease. We really like that venue as well. We saw Book of Mormon a couple years ago at Denver Performing Arts theater. Although this is more for her than me, I do enjoy them. Many years ago I saw Guys and Dolls at Murry's Dinner Playhouse in Little Rock. If you happen to be in town, it's a unique small venue to watch a show.

I have two Spotify playlists downloaded to an old Iphone5 I use as an Ipod. My "MixTape" for my commute and "Hamilton" for when my 10 yr old is with me. She snatches it up and puts headphones in and listens to complete soundtrack several times a weekend.
It's hard to find any legit footage of Hamilton live but the WhiteHouse visit gave us a taste. These people are unbelievably talented.

I saw The Scarlet Pimpernel on Broadway years ago and it was hilarious.
It's about a group of Englishmen during the French Revolution that go to France and save aristocrats from being executed. To disguise what they're doing they all act like fops. Basically it's Batman set during the French Revolution.
I don't remember much about the songs/music, but the play itself was great.

Saw it on Broadway. It was fantastic. And hilarious.
Already have my tickets to go see Phantom again when it comes to the Saenger.
There's nothing wrong with being cultured. Not long ago, musicals and operas were great entertainment. Somewhere some jealous poor idiot decided they were gay. Don't buy into that idiocy.
Have also seen:
Young Frankenstein
Spamalot
Chicago
Wicked
Book of Mormon
Rocky Horror
Guys and Dolls
The Producers
Godspell
Le Mis
Fiddler
JC Superstar
The Wiz
Children of Eden
Joseph and the Dreamcoat
Oliver
Hairspray
Bye Bye Birdie
Grease
Singing in the Rain
Copa Cobana
Footloose
Jersey Boys
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Yea I love it. My wife and I went to White Christmas a few weeks ago. Going to Frankenstein in February, although I believe that’s just a play. I definitely want to take her to broadway.
DGAF if people are so insecure they call people gay.

That's a good list. I really want to see Hairspray. My wife really wants to see wicked.
She is going with her mom next weekend to see Beautiful (the Carrol king one) in NYC. She also wants to see dear Evan Hansen, but I'm not that excited about the soundtrack for that one.

went to see Showboat in 3rd grade with my mom, and my 2nd mother was an active patron of the arts, so we went to see several in middle school and high school ... enjoyed them all ... Camelot (with Harrison), PT Barnum, Annie, Lil Abner (bruce jenner before the change), The King and I, Les Miz, Phantom, and a few others ... don't enjoy them now as much as i prefer plays to musicals ...
