As per my source it’s as good as done. Should be announced tomorrow. Apparently the contract just has to be approved by the president and board of regents.

I hope so. That frees up some money to throw at Josh McDaniel.

Bad hire. He's already basically retired, I don't see him putting forth a lot of effort required for sustained success.

I'll be happy to be wrong, though. Good luck, Les

You need new sources.

Don’t expect the Arizona Wildcats to hire a new head football coach soon — because technically they can’t. A rule set by the Arizona Board of Regents requires all public positions to be posted for 10 days before a hire can be made. The University of Arizona has not posted the football head coaching job as of Wednesday, so the earliest the UA could name its new head coach is Jan. 14 (assuming the job is posted Thursday). There was some talk that Arizona might be able to get that rule waived, but Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star squashed that Wednesday, saying Arizona will have to abide by the standard 10-day rule.

This is awesome. I'm really happy for Les. His time here was overdue to come to an end, but I'm glad to see him get another coaching job. I'll be glad for him if this happens.

This extra savings is IMO what allowed LSU to pay Aranda
