They literally do not think for themselves, they get told what to do and say by their “leaders” and that’s what they do.

Because the Left for 20 years has assumed that they've won the culture war for good, and that they no longer needed to think their positions through remotely anymore. All they had to do is say that any other opinion is racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. This on the other hand got young conservatives and libertarians thinking on how to combat their points which has made them brighter as a whole. Unfortunately half of the Republican party only learned that name calling was the thing to do, to where they're no better than their Leftist ilk.

The people that they pretend to care about , actually mean nothing to them. It's all about virtue signaling.
Take Hollywood for example. Next awards show, the women will wear black in solidarity with the victims of sexual harassment. Those same assholes that will wear black, kept their mouths shut for decades as the Weinsteinesque people over there, raped and assaulted young women.

The bigger irony is that I see this post at least once every few days. One guy heard another guy say it and then decided to post it also.
Not to mention that Trump and Bush both constantly lied during any of their time as presidents yet the right just goes and quotes them without checking a single thing.
To be fair, people on all sides of the political spectrum tend to believe their leaders before double-checking but it's certainly worse amonst right-wingers.
