I've watched a few of those shows that are about lottery winners and what they did with their money.
Honestly the ones that look the happiest....are the ones that didn't go all crazy with the money.

Besides, $384 M can go pretty fast without some income.
If you spent $10,000 a day, everyday, it would take you over 105 years to spend every dollar of that $384 million
Investing just half of that, $192 million, and getting just a 3% return would earn you almost $6 million in interest. You could then spend $15,000 a day using just that interest earned money and never have to touch that $192 million

Agreed. I’m a simple guy. Traveling and golf is just about all I need

Ed Orgeron contract on the condition that Dave Aranda is given a long term deal as HC

ee then I would just get involved with some charity work. Get satisfaction/purpose out of helping others with my money.
I would probably also join groups that fight human trafficking. I’d like to start my own private military to do that but $384 M won’t do that.

I would travel the world eating, drinking, adventuring, hunting, fishing, golfing and everything else I come across that I would like to do.

Unless you win the lottery ??

It would be awesome to be able to randomly help out others.
Ex: There is some wealthy person in Scottsdale that every Christmas does random acts of kindness in this one shopping area by my house. No one knows exactly who the person is. They will go to the Toys R Us and pay off all the toy layaways for Christmas at that store. Will leave an anonymous tip at one of the restaurants for a couple thousand to be split by the employees. Stuff like that. I can remember reading about it and thinking how awesome it must be to have the means to do stuff like that.

I’m not diving into my personal life to explain it, but I’m not worried about her leaving. Once I would get done what I said in my first post, I would take her to Paris and frick all day with the French doors open with a view of the Eiffel Tower.

I’ve won more money in Amazon gift cards, Galaxy S8’s, and iPhone X’s on this site than the PowerBall is worth.

1) travel, see the world and play golf
2) open a charter 6-12 hs school ... illustrate how a school can be run without involvement from gov/the state's dept of ed ... hire retired engineers to teach sci, teach vocational training, etc ... allow pt students to advance on their own kind of thing ...
3) start various charities staffed/run by family/friends who make the cut ...

I would drop 5-10 million on a state of the art car shop. Then rebuild specific year and model vintage cars, trucks and Jeeps.

I would never fly public again. I need a new big SUV for road trips around this wonderful country of ours.

I do small, random things for my employees throughout the year. It would be awesome to do it on a larger scale. Invest $15 million or so and use the interest earned to help folks with bills, childcare, health expenses, etc.

I am establishing a coke connect with a Mexican Cartel and starting my own business.
I am going to put chili powder in all my product so people recognize my signature.

I’d put $50mm in safer fixed income producing portfolio
$75mm mixed over public equity, private equity, fixed income, probably buy a company or two directly.
I think I’d have $20mm or so left so I’d give family some, set up education trusts for nieces and nephews, but houses/cars/etc
