Back at it this afternoon. Pulled chips from cam and Santa setup a really nice 8 point for me on Christmas day about 30 feet in from of my ground blind. Too bad i was in the house

Saw him on another cam in the 28th so he's around.

Maybe they will get to moving just before the 45 degree temp swing in 48 hrs
Lock on in woods. Pipeline just isnt working lately.
Longest shot is 60 yards so I got the 12 gauge Mossberg with a slug.

Bridge to my stand washed out so had to improvise to get across. Dropped my harness rope and had to climb down to get it. Dropped my can call once I got back up. I left it. I aint climbing this stand 3 times.

Box with browning 30-06
Got the flu Christmas night, hunted the day after (a wise decision) and have been laid up in bed Wednesday - Friday, hopefully I don’t relapse but I couldn’t sit at the house any longer.

It feels like the perfect damn evening I know that much. Good luck OB and be safe.

Same stand as this morning
58 and drizzle

Have Mrs Feliciana’s bastard child in a ground blind that cuts my stand off. Tried to get him to hunt this one but he said he wanted to be on the ground because he might take a nap.

Bucks aren’t hitting the scares like they were 2 weeks ago but they are starting to hook some trees pretty good. Lots of new sign.

Wife on the browning x-bolt 30-06

First time in a box stand we’ve never seen before. Turns out two chairs wouldn’t fit so I’m in a chair behind the box stand peaking around the corner with binoculars.....yep

Didn’t make it out this morning, and have the wife with me tonight. Sitting on the low fence property so anything decent with horns I’m gonna let her blast.

I haven't been to Tilden in a couple years. Used to work around there a lot and seen some monsters on them lease roads. I miss going to that Shell station in Tilden and getting a porky sandwich for lunch. Man that was some good stuff. Good luck.

Hunted this morning before work in St. Martin Parish. No deer no stand. Plenty tracks on the roads and saw a doe and yearling on the ride out on the 4 wheeler.

And I ain’t seen shite

Pretty sure the deer population in northern West feliciana parish has been decimated. Seems like I hear a shot every 5 minutes

Gonna count how many I hear past leafs shooting light Up to 3 so far
