Its trashy to promote it or allow it in your house
Have to skate a fine line between allowing them to have a bit of fun/explore and not being a trashy allow anything parent

Nope. My son just turned 17 and we still don't let him drive either (for similar reasons).

Well then I guess it's a good thing he's going to seminary in South Dakota next year

Oh well don’t worry about him. He’s gay.

My dad let me drink as soon as I hit high school as long as I didn't drive.
And I, for the most part, listened to him. He was very lenient, but could drop the hammer if he needed to.
I'll probably be the same with my kids. Teenagers drink regardless of rules. Might as well set reasonable boundaries without being too strict.

Yes. How else do they practice the anti Ruffie moves?

#teamProtestant didn’t wage numerous holy wars against innocent people or rape a bunch of innocent boys and try to cover it up like #teamCatholic
#teamCatholic. “All of us are going to Hell”

#TeamAnglican was, "y'all do whatever you want just as long as you stay here."

so all of europe is trashy? interesting.
Actually a lot Europe is, but to in regards to drinking. They don't so much promote as they just don't make is a big deal.

I don't have kids, but I'd make them figure it out on their own like I did. Sneaking into dive bars underage. Raiding the friend's parents liquor cabinet. It's all part of being a kid.

If you don’t think the Catholics have fricked up a ton of shite you are either blind or stupid or both.

My 12 year old said the other day that the prosecco we had was really good.

Option A: Do not allow your kid to drink and be strict.... Id say more than half the time they will do it and drive around when they have access to car. Especially as a junior/senior. Kids go to parties almost every weekend.
Option B: Teach your kids responsible drinking and set an example by not driving after drinking and putting the keys away when alcohol is served.
I knew a girl back in the day who had the strictest parents in the world, but she didnt ever drink to respect her parents crazy strict rules and not be grounded for 3 months like she was her junior year. Fast forward to freshman year of college where she joins a sorority and turns into an absolute junkie. Getting shitfaced after 3 drinks and sleeping with everyone in sight. That shite happens when you puppet your children when they live with you and then they move out.
