Anyone who believes trump’s background is only “entertainer” is either ignorant or dishonest

Corey Booker is gay and will get blasted in the general election if he makes it out of the primary.

It only took me a few minutes reading this thread to realize how delusional some posters here are. Barring something catastrophic.
Ain't nobody beating Trump in 2020. Nobody.

If the stock market keeps soaring and he keeps bringing jobs back to America, I would think he'd win in pretty much a landslide. Is there even anybody that you could see giving him a run for his money? Warren would get embarrassed and I know there has been a recent surge about Booker.

Is there any realistic democratic candidate you could see defeating Trump in 2020?
But there's virtually no chance Dems get him to run, much less nominate him.

the average of polling clearly shows Trump's approval rating less than 40%.
we have claimed for years that polls are not used to show real information, but rather, to manipulate the narrative
these last few elections proved it
especially the GA 6 polls
Trump has more support than when he was elected because he has kept his promises & the economy is better
people vote their pocketbook
incumbents tend to do well and are hard to beat; again, especially when economic times are good
but you keep telling yourself whatever you need to help you sleep at night

Y'all will laugh as usual, but I remain steadfast in my belief that Joe Biden would crush Trump. He can pull the blue collar votes from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin that trump was able to lure in 2016.
I agree with you here
Jim Webb of Virginia could also do it
but a typical democrat won;t be able to
because Trump owns that union / white working class vote

I don't think it's so much any candidate, but the platform. What would the message be?
I am going to raise your taxes!!
I am going to strap the economy with overburdened regulation!!
If I don't like the business you are in, I will bankrupt it.
Everybody will pay a carbon footprint tax cause muh climate change.
I will draw red line upon red line as countries walk all over us!!
I will take unlimited amounts of immigrants and let the middle class pay for them!!
What is the message a Dem can run on? Abortion on demand and welfare for errybody?

I'm not picking on you Bison. I'm really not. But I just noticed your signature quote:

attributable to the late, disillusioned Karl Marx. It's only similar because in Marx's iteration of this idea, there's less virtue signalling. In other words, when Marx said it, even he refrained from attributing to those who disagree with him personal judgment of his detractor's evil "greed," like the references in your signature block. All in all congratulations on outing yourself as a Marxist.
I'm assuming your response to me may be that Marxism contains some "good ideas" please know (as I think I've posted before) being a little bit Marxist is like being a little bit pregnant. And there are no "good ideas" that are Marxist, especially when applied to government. Marxism, contains NO LIMITING PRINCIPLES on the powers of government even in the "some good ideas" that it's applied to. Example - if you let government just a little bit into health care, it takes over the whole thing. That's why it scares the shite out of me. Marxism is a the horror movie - The Blob.
I say all this wondering with relevance to this discussion, and I'm hoping maybe you can enlighten the rest of us Neanderthal greedy capitalists about whether the Democrats would be able to locate, much less nominate somebody that wasn't even a little bit Marxist.

Hillary Clinton was an awful candidate and still got 3 million votes more than Trump.
democrats will be fine.

There's a LOT of circle jerkin going on in here. All dems have to do is actually get people out to vote.
And you're beyond stupid if you don't think Dems will vote for literally anyone that opposes Trump. Sexual assault? No care. Just don't be Trump. It'll happen.
Kamala Harris is going to identity politics all over this country. It's a proven winning strategy. She will get out blacks and women.
I think a lot of you underestimate how stupid the average voter is.

While I agree with you here, it'll all depend on where Dems get the vote out. Right now, Trump has the union workers in his back pocket in states including Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. That gives him a huge advantage in the EC. If he continues to create jobs in those areas and the market continues to perform, identity politics won't be enough to carry the Dems.
I will go as far to say that this Tax Bill that was just passed will keep the Republican majority in both the house and senate in 2018. When people see their tax cuts, what are the Democrats going to say? "This tax cut is bad?"
With where the economy is going and as long as jobs are created, the Dems better use a better strategy than identity politics in 2020 if they want to have a chance.
