Are we still using the "bots" excuse?

43 point diff between critics and audience

Seems like the more people who see the movie, the lower the score falls.

Currently the lowest rated of the entire franchise, rivaling the Holiday Special.

At what point should discussion about this movie be directed to the Poli board?

40 point difference is unheard of...unheard of.

If this movie didn't wake people up to the shills critics are and their paid or personal or political agenda - then nothing will.

Disney doing work with the MSM press.

The only comparable separation between Critics and Audience scores is Barbershop, the Next Cut:

Critics: 90%
Audience: 67%

Check out the score for Bright.

Critics: 30%
Audiences: 89%

59 point difference

That is insane.

Justice League had a forty point difference until about a week ago- in the opposite direction. A few good recent reviews have raised it to a thirty-eight point disparity. Is this the same problem and alarm raising call to arms?

I saw it over the holiday.

I guess I don't see the SJW or butchering of the lore issues.

Luke's story made sense as presented.

Rey was more a catalyst than a doer.

Ben has just been running scared.

Snoke was legit.

Finn and Rose was a cute B story.

The rebel plan was admittedly eh as it was basically OJs bronco in space. Fuel was never a plot point besides TIE fighters because it didn't need to be one until this one.

Yoda animated as a puppet was a little try hard but still cute.

And I would've preferred the Luke of the books and comics but we're 30 years past the chance to do that and instead of Luke starting a New Jedi Order it's Rey with a clean slate cause of Yoda's wisdom and Luke's action. I'm ok with that.

That doesn’t mean that it wasn’t awful. It also shits all over his past, which was moronic.

Rey and Ren are only good parts in that movie.

Are you trolling?

What was wrong with it?

They had an adventure of misadventures. That's pretty much star wars. It was succinct and had some fun laughs. I woulda liked some more play from Benecio, his shuttle being the one they escaped on could have been killer.

I don't think this is much of a surprise. Rotten Tomatoes has become the source for movie/TV show reviews. I don't think since Siskel and Ebert hit national publications have we had a single source like RT for influencing film perceptions and opinions.

So of course these multi-billion dollar organizations would pay to control the numbers on RT. And of course journalists making ~$40k-$60k/year would accept a bribe if presented.
