How does a business last for 70 years in this town and then close? Every time we go it's packed. My kids are sad.

I know it but I don't think I should say it.

I realize the location isn't ideal but it hasn't been for a long time. People still went. Now there is no place to play hockey in town. It blows.

Is it the same family that has owned it all these years?

Leo's has been for sale since I was a child. The guy who runs it just wants to retire.

Thanks, Perry and I went to school together. Sad to see another part of old BTR fade away.

Have said for years that a new, updated ice skating rink in a better (safer) part of town would do so well. Kids love that place!

I can remember going to the old one on North St, with the wood floor rink and the ancient skates they'd give you.

When I was a kid the ice rink was closed. Didn’t open up again until the late 90s. Around when the Kingfish came (if I remember correctly).

Yeah I can remember going roller skating at the regular Leo's and always looking over at the ice rink wishing it would open one day.

Your post said it.

Another ice rink will pop up in a nicer area of town. There is a market.
