Do you know anyone stupid enough to think this tax plan is bad?

I don’t get it. Everything I’ve read on it gives more money back to tax payers, but I’ve had a couple libs (womenz) tell me that it’s bad because you can’t write-off as much.
I’ve tried explaining simple economics to these people but I can’t get it through to them. They are blinded by hatred for Trump to see the good he’s doing.

If anyone feels like they are not paying enough to the federal government they are always winning to take more than you legally owe.

The only legitimate counter-argument is about how this will affect budgetary concerns. That is a legitimate concern, but the real solution to a decrease in revenues is an even sharper decrease in expenditures.
ETA: Anything that doesn't involve revenue shortfalls is just shrill nonsense and the product of misinformation, or the result of some pinko nonsense that thinks that all productivity is owed to the collective.

I hope you are at least able to deduct the costs of caring for abandoned puppies.
Also, have you gotten any recent updates or pics of them?

Republican values: letting the underprivileged starve so that you can save a couple thousand on taxes

Lots of sheep and some elderly believe whatever the MSM spouts off.

Sadly, yes.
Some fairly intelligent people too. Let me re-phrase...highly educated people, but it doesn't carry over to real world intelligence.

Yes. My facebook wall is littered with "friends" that have gone full retard over this.
I had no idea how many of my high school classmates would eventually embrace socialism and be Bernie bros.

About 52k people from New Jersey. I don't think most people even know what this bill does. They just see trumps name next to it and automatically oppose it. they would rather see trump fail than something good happen for the American people. That is the epitome of bigotry and idiocy. It really is just hard to understand sometimes

If they'd work, maybe they wouldn't starve. Also, if enough of them starve, there will be less of them, and maybe the ones that don't starve will get the message. "Hey... maybe I better work, so I don't starve."

As someone who understands how taxes work, it’s quite astonishing they keep saying that this will increase taxes for the middle class. With an increased standard deduction and lowering of tax rates, this is virtually impossible. My guess is that “‘middle class” to them means people making roughly $200K in states with higher income taxes.

i dont think anyone knows enough about it to know if it is good or bad, per se. i think it is popular, which i dont equate to be the same thing.

Roughly 7.5% of filers in Louisiana will see a tax hike, 10.8% will see no change, and 81.6% will see a tax cut. It's understandable that some people would be upset and vocal with a hike, and perhaps some that won't see any personal benefit too, but the vast majority will be in better shape.

Sitting here right now trying to explain the personal benefits to my mother in law. Its tough because she knows nothing about finances or taxes....but I think she's getting it.
