A couple of those names bring back some memories. Although I am a bit older, I lived for a while in willowdale and for such a crappy course, they had some talent come out of there. Probably 15 college players over a decade or so. It was fun to be around there back then. Noto was probably the best player to come out of there although Lorio won a ton as a junior. I remember watching him shoot 62 in some high school event out there one year. Don't think either of those guys play much any more but when they do they still shoot below par. Dufrene just won the mid am at bayou oaks. All great guys and great memories. As I get older sometimes I wish I could press the rewind button.

Playing with all those guys I named and realizing that pretty much none of them stand a great chance at making a long career out of it shows just how incredible the top guys are on the PGA. I really think Jacob Bergeron has a good shot at making it though, he’s amazing.

I guess the tour should change their motto to "these guys are stupid good"

Frank Lickliter, dude was rocking those Oakleys, hitting piercing lasers right at the stick.

Olly Thomson, played with him twice, once at Grand Bear and once at TPC. Didn't shoot above 67, don't think he missed a fairway, all while throwing down a case of beer. Damn fun to play with, hope he's doing good.

Arnold Palmer in 2008 at Bay Hill

To be honest we only had a 15 minute conversation on the tee box while each of our groups tee'd off, but god dammit I'm counting it because he's Arnold Palmer and frick the rules.

He was truly one of the nicest most genuine people I ever met.

This is great. You automatically win even though it was just a conversation.

Three putt. Played with my brother and a guy named Kurt Moore in Salt Lake City in 89. Kurt was the longest driver of the golf ball I have ever seen, he shot 61 that day with 2 bogeys 6’5. About 240 built like a rock was in awe

All I got is Tom Gillis. PGA pro from Michigan. Nice fella. Wasn't super long off the tee but when you watch a pro's wedge game, it's impressive.

Corker Deloach, who was an All American at University of Houston. Played with him many times at the old Pinewood Country Club in Slidell. One afternoon we played the back nine twice and he shot 29 - 29.

Best that you would have heard of was Stewart Cink and Bubba Watson.

Player I felt was the best was a kid named Cullen in the Alabama state championship. he got a full ride to Auburn and I heard he couldn't break 80 and transferred out after a year but in he won our state championship shooting something like 67/68 and couldn't putt for shite. I saw the kid hit two 5 woods about 250 and stop them at the hole within 5 feet of the hole and both times missed the putt. The kid hit all 18 greens and never outside of 10 feet for two days in a row but couldn't make any putts.

Some little fat kid from Lutcher. I can't remember his name but we almost got a slow play penalty because he had to have a hot dog at the turn.
