I've played with a decent sized list of college golfers from LSU, Southeastern, ULL, etc. None of them made the PGA Tour, or haven't as of yet.

They were all really good at golf. The fact that most of them aren't playing golf for a living now makes you wonder how good the PGA guys are.

Patrick Reed and Andrew Loupe...the latter is still a close friend and HS golf teammate. The former is a fricking douche nozzle.

Reed does seem like a douchy a-hole.

This is so true. We had three guys on my high school team play "small school" golf in college, and even the difference in those vs. guys who played at Clemson or South Carolina were huge.

The guys on tour are on another level than even that. Also, sometimes it just clicks. Wesley Bryan played at SC and almost quit golf, because he couldn't break 80. He finally got it together, and now he is a PGA Tour winner.

A lot of that is funding too. It is crazy expensive to play the tour or even try to qualify for the tour. One of my dad's friends used to kick around the mini tours in Florida for a living and he basically broke even playing and he was winning roughly 5k a week in tournaments (he had a crazy trust fund that he lived off of). Travel, hotels, food, it is all really pricey when you talk about venue cities that can host these tournaments.

JAKE NARRO

He was the best player in the Gulf States Section for nearly twenty years running starting around 1990 .

He consistently got one of the two spots available to the top two medalists in the Gulf States PGA Section qualifier for the USF&G/ Zurich PGA event nearly every year.

In a money game he was a thing of beauty to see.

I haven't played with him or Scott in a while. I enjoy playing with them when I can, though it's been a couple of years. Kiz can definitely talk some trash. I'll laugh from the 1st tee to the 18th green.

The Kisner Vice Sports Episode was awesome. Seems like a super genuine dude that knows he’s lucky to do what he does for such a lucrative living.
