I would hope LSU, if this comes into play, compensates him and allows him to stay here and not look to leave anymore.

Good guy. But he has now left twice. This last time a week before early signing day.

I don’t trust him at this point.

We don’t owe AT anything.. he’s good but this is now becoming a pattern. If he wants to be here then fine but we don’t owe the guy any promises.

I get the pattern you’re talking about, but Tennessee is his dream job being it’s his alma mater. UT didn’t want him that badly, apparently, so now if he stays with LSU, I think he’ll be here for good. Or until an nfl team wants him as their gm or something.

We welcome him back but with a stiff buyout. This is business. Don't insert your feelings into dealings like this. He is good at what he does.

No. Leave once and come back okay. Leave twice then Tiger Bait. I don’t understand the boards fascination with this guy. I’m sure he’s good at what he does but there are others out there that are just as good if not better that actually want to be here.

I'm surprised at all the people who want him back between this thread and the other one. I get that you feel he's an asset but truthfully if you want him back for recruiting he's become a liability. If I know I'm up against him for a recruit I'm highlighting his lack of loyalty and asking how LSU can be such a great place if the person wanting you to go there keeps wanting out.

We created a position for him - he left. We offered him a raise - he left. Also since 2013 we average 9-4 seasons with a trophy case filled with Texas bowl, Citrus Bowl, and Capital One bowl trophies. We shouldn't be married to anyone who has been part of that mediocrity.

If you truly consider the guy to be an asset to your program and good at what he does, then take him back. It happens in business all the time.

However, under no circumstances should he receive any kind of raise or promotion in title or anything. He had an opportunity to increase his position through leverage before leaving. Now, LSU would be doing him the favor and has the leverage and should say you are welcome back at same salary. Then he can prove how much he really wants to be back at LSU.

Seems like he hates his life at LSU.

Structure a contract that makes him commit to staying.

Please god bring him back life isn't worth living without him. Sign a blank check and hand it too him before it's too late! Then sign his son to a contract because we will need him too when his fathers life long contract ends.

Go to DandyDons website and read the mailcall piece where he answers a question regarding this issue this morning. Might shed some new light on the situation, if his source is accurate.
