Conversely, Leach and WSU are 0-3 in conference play all the sudden.
Yikes.
Yikes.

Searched “Herm” and this thread came up.
Just watched the HBO 24/7 episode and knowing how well his season is going, hope Herm wins every game.

this isn't the thread for that. the other big one was worse
in THIS thread, the OC Herm was basically originally depending on to run the team left immediately
it would be like if Oregon took over LSU and then Aranda immediately left. Oregon would have been fricked and already fired

I don't get bumps like. 2 years ago, when the thread was started, it did look like a disaster. His PR and press conferences were laughable and they started his first season what, like 3-5 or something? Just becuase the future ended up with them turnign it around and looking good doesn't make the thoughts from 2017 less valid at the time they were posted.

yeah i'm very positive the AD came out and said Herm was a figurehead coach and Napier was the guy they were leaning on to run the team and then Napes IMMEDIATELY left for ULL. that's what THIS thread was about

Yet people, with no results on the field, people already fired the guy. I love threads like this that are bumped. Goes to show how little people actually know and how much they jump to conclusions. I love seeing Herms success. He comes off as a legitimate good man.

I’m shocked I didn’t have any rough comments on the hire in here

Last year ASU went 7-6 which is the exact same record that got Todd Graham fired. Their best win was against a 5 lost Utah team. They lost to Fresno State in the Las Vegas Bowl by double digits.
What would his best win this year be? The 10-7 win that was aided by a too many men on the field penalty negating a game tying FG in the last few seconds vs Michigan State who lost to Ohio State and Wisconsin by a combined score of 72-10? The 24-17 win vs Cal who struggled to beat both North Texas and Ole Miss? Or maybe it's the 38-34 win vs the Pirate Captain and Washington State who blew a 32 point lead to a 1-5 UCLA team that has only scored more than 17 points in 2 of their 6 games this year?
I'll admit that he has exceeded the extremely low expectations everyone here had but it's kind of hard to tell if it's b/c he is actually doing well or if it's due to the Pac 12 being pretty damn bad right now.

Well the thing is, it does exist. You know what school they were talking about. Maybe the name itself isn't valid in your eyes, but you knew the school being referenced. And you're just trying to stir shite because it bothers you so much for some reason.
Because it’s stupid to try and call yourselves Louisiana like you’re the only school in the state. The school is University of Louisiana at Lafayette because its not the only University of Louisiana. Yet the school continues to try and act like they are.

Agreed.
Sun Devils are better coached then most teams.
The big challenge for Hern is gonna be who he hires for staff when the inevitable changes comes.
Gonzales is gonna be in line to be poached for more money or a HC position. How long is Lewis gonna stay as a special adviser. What happens if Antonio Pierce leaves.

The flagship campus. Ya know, the one that comes up when you google it. Same for every other state.
