McCain is going to double frick the Republicans by voting NO on healthcare then voting yes on the first version of the tax bill then dying before he can vote on the final bill and not having it pass.

It is a good thing that he was not elected president in 2008. His time was in 2000, but Bush II smeared him in South Carolina's GOP primary.
The stress of the presidency would have gotten him in worse situation than now.

I’ve come around to the idea that the members of congress should legislate and vote from their districts. The technology is available and it would force the representatives to represent their constituency.

Cochran is ill as well. Flake, Collins, Lee have not announced how they will vote.
Hopefully this bill will die as it is a horrible bill.
Come back in January with a more fiscally sound tax cut for corporations and rich people.

If he can’t vote, is it a simple majority of those voting? Anyone know the rules about replacing him? Special election or does someone complete his term?
