Thought it was far, far superior to the Force Awakens. Very good movie

At the end of TFA his arm is no longer red when they are waving Rey off.

i'm kind of in the same boat

it wasn't 100% bad (kylo ren is really interesting) but it's mediocre-bad. so disappointing that i'm not sure i can wrap my head around it all

and this is ignoring the SJW, anti-man, pro-diversity stuff

as a basic movie it wasn't good. it's plot was all over the place. the tone was disjointed (Star Wars isn't a Marvel movie). all of the interesting stuff seems to be that period between the trilogies that is almost barren in this current set of movies (seriously why would anyone follow Leia when she couldn't hold together a post-imperial republic?)

HOW DID THE REBELS LOSE?

they don't even talk about this huge upset and bad governance

i mean does the population of the galaxy even want the Rebels to win? they already proved they are weak in power and will just cause another civil war and billions more will die in the process

I’ve pointed this out earlier, but this movie is as if the Nazis and Soviets wiped out 99% of their forces in Stalingrad. The rest of the galaxy should just be thinking to themselves “That worked out well.”

I think at this point it’s clear the galaxy consensus isn’t in the “rebels” or “resistance” favor. I mean for hell sakes Leia puts out the broken arrow call and no one comes to her aid. The best military mind of the resistance Admiral Akbar was randomly killed with zero explanation. The list goes on...

they teased it, but RJ didn't want to pull a TFA and copy ANH, so he did a "Gotcha"...and luke died anyway

Yes the end effect was essentially the same, but they did it in a completely over the top way. The beauty of the original trilogy was it’s simplicity in some respects.

My guess is they're going to take this to the next movie and Luke will be "more powerful than you could possibly imagine" (aka Kenobi in ANH). Now that Luke has become "one with the force," and they established that force ghosts can now physically affect living people with Yoda's lightning to the tree, I expect Luke to be able to physically interact with Kylo as a force ghost. Even though that directly flies in the face of what Kenobi told Luke in the OT ("if you choose to face Vader, you will do it alone; I cannot interfere).
