I would have rolled my eyes if Ackbar had done anything meaningful.

He should never have been back in the 1st place.

New characters please.

I knew about the force projection coming in and it was handled better than I thought but it was still absolutely pointless. Luke should have confronted him in person. Seeing him withstand the lasers without a scratch could have been a Neo moment and demonstrated how much he mastered the force.

Yeah, that is a bit anticlimactic. I was hoping that he was going to block the lasers and then toss them back to the AT-ATs that were shooting at him by using the Force.

I couldn’t stand BB-8 in this one. I don’t remember him being as annoying in TFA, but he was awful in this one.

BB-8 controlling the AT-ST was stupid. Instead, he should have had a battle with his evil counterpart.

Nope, he's a 100,000 year old with vampire Sith. He's been beat up before and heals himself, you have to put a wooden stake through his heart...duh.

Star Wars is a Skywalker story. Either Rey will be revealed to be Kylos cousin/Sister, or Star Wars is no longer a Skywalker story.

What are you, from Alabama? Why does everyone who can use the Force have to be a blood relative of a Skywalker?

TLJ was amazing. The Purists need to move on and let the rest of us enjoy the direction the franchise is going.

So Ackbar, the Alliance's main officer and military leader, who followed Leia into the Resistance shouldn't have been in command and have a noteworthy send off?

Movie was absolutely phenomenal and the second half was jaw dropping. It is the first non OT movie that understood the force. It was the first non OT movie that truly felt like Star Wars. Didn’t try to calculate the Star Wars “feel.” There was no forced nostalgia. Was perfect was to let go of the OT and st up the finally. Just incredible.

Only gripe was the silly stuff and cheesy comedy. Was stupid.

Exactly. It was still sorta heating up/locking on, much like how the death star's laser starts out small and not damaging anything and then gets huge and blows up the planet.

Despite how much I love this movie, (I think it’s the best in the entire series) I totally understand how people could hate it tho. I really do.

It’s so out there. That’s the whole reason I love it. It’s the least Star Wars movie ever and that’s my favorite thing I love about it.

You loved the pointless 40 minutes spent on the Casino planet that doesn’t further the plot at all?

He should have been either dead or retired long before this new series even began.

Ok I’ll admit that part is weak.

Still don’t think it was bad. Just too long.

100%. Put me in the camp that really enjoyed TLJ.

I'm still digesting the movie but anyone talking about "them" building up Snoke to be this big baddie. Who did? The Force Awakens didn't. It showed a large hologram commanding the First Order but left everything about him open to interpretation and the internet blew up questioning everything about him. Fans did that because they so desperately wanted him to be this major player from Star Wars lore. As much as everyone bitched about TFA being so predictable and recycling A New Hope they sure are upset that he wasn't....predictable. Unbelievable. That's just one example of how most Star Wars fans have treated this franchise. Most have forgotten how campy the original trilogy was and the roller coaster of emotions it made us feel as kids and now that we've gotten older we've built it up into this super serious entity that we can't even seem to enjoy anymore. Go actually watch the original trilogy and remember what it was like to be a kid again. This movie was extremely enjoyable and I can't wait to see it again.

I loved that Yoda was still playful just as he was in the Original Trilogy. I was waiting for Luke to correct him when he said young Skywalker.

If you are asking me how the science of it works, I don’t know. But it certainly wasn’t damaging the door to the base.

He was safe in the cockpit. I’m fine with it.

To show it was only damaging it slightly. If the laser was on, it would have completely annihilated it. That's why rose rammed him, because he was a second away from getting completely obliterated.
