I want to learn about the Civil War

As a southern man, it is criminal how little I know about the Civil War. I watched the Ken Burns documentary years ago and have visited Shiloh, Gettysburg, Chancellorsville, Wilderness, and Fredricksburg (used to live there). So I probably know way more than the average American, but 2018 is the year I fix that. Here are some recent purchases:
Shelby Foote 3 Vol series
Battle Cry of Freedom
Rebel Yell
Lee (abridged by D. Freeman)
Where do I begin? Any recommendations?

The Shelby Foote series is definitely a good choice to start with

Ken Burns documentary has a heavily slanted view towards the North. Hopefully some of the books you have picked out can rid your mind of the filth that documentary has put into you.
Read all of Clifford Dowdey’s books and Peter Cozzens

Lee's Lieutenants
Lee's Tigers
Port Hudson: Confederate Bastion on the Mississippi
The Louisiana Tigers in the Gettysburg Campaign
Yes the Louisiana Brigades in the Civil War are well worth 3 reads.
Co. Aytch: A Confederate Memoir of the Civil War
The Last Full Measure: The Life and Death of the First Minnesota Volunteers
Pickett's Charge by: Stewart best book on the charge
The Iron Brigade: A Military History
The Iron Brigade by Shelby Iron Brigade is good enough to read 2 books about it.
Those Damned Black Hats! The Iron Brigade in the Gettysburg Campaign Ok make it 3 books.

I imagine Shelby Foote will be able to unwind that bias.
However - just looking at those 3 books on my shelf intimidates the hell out of me. It would take me a year to read them.

Yea I know he is a Clinton stooge - however, does his bias have a big effect on the book?
I feel like it's almost impossible to write a book on the Civil War without having a little bias.

Rebel Private: Front and Rear: Memoirs of a Confederate Soldier

I recommend Rebel Yell, esp if you don’t know much about Jackson.

Meh. Foote's work was about 40% of the content of Ken Burns' Civil War. Heck, Shelby was still alive and featured prominently throughout.

Start with Battle Cry of Freedom. Dean of undergrad of history at UA told me to always go with the historian. There is no bias in it. It’s just facts, figures and anecdotes. Won a Pulitzer so there’s that.

Sounds like you already know most of what's in here, but the historical fiction trilogy by Michael and Jeff Shaara I found very entertaining

Foote's books and Burns's documentary are a pretty good yin and yang. Foote is pretty biased towards the South, and Burns is pretty biased towards the North. Both are good to digest though.

What does being a southern man have to do with it?

I have ancestors who fought in Forrest's cavalry and there was a battle 5 miles from where I grew up.
Like I said, I probably know significantly more than your average American (which isn't saying much), but I want to take that knowledge to the next level.

Put the rest of them up until you finish the three Shelby Foote books then move on from there.

Nathan Bedford Forrest is a national treasure. I love driving past his monument on I-65 going to Nashville.
