And Cannon was just 6’1 205-210lbs. Huge for a RB back then. But not anymore

He was awesome that year. LSU has had some great ones. Can't go wrong with any of those listed.

anyone that mentions CC meet me at Sonic. most overhyped 4 games in history.yay he ran good against 3 scrubs and auburn

I'll meet you there, but take Uber and tell the guy to wait three minutes because you will be in no shape to drive after I'm finished with you. I know what I saw with Cecil in those games against a really good 10-win Auburn team that won the west and lost the SECCG by 1 point to a great Tennessee team. The OP said 1 game.

You're not too good with reading comprehension. The OP said healthy and in his prime. Cecil made it to the NFL even after breaking his leg, being a major pervert and getting kicked off of LSU's team. He was totally damaged goods by then. LSU has had phenomenal backs and any of those listed would be great choices. But Cecil did what he did in his prime against the SEC West Champs.

it's a subjective subject. i really worry you.

and as decent as Hilliard was....
he never ran for 1300 yards and never had over 5 ypc

Check the list of LSU RB's who won the Heisman. Only one player is on it. He did not play TE at LSU, that was in the pros. And he played both ways back then. Pick anyone else & have them playing defense & still be a star RB. Cannon is a slam dunk, regardless of his era. But #7 is right up there with him.

Except he was relegated as such for those games once Collins emerged. I’m not some Collins homer. Just remember this being the case that year.

I’m not a big fan of Corso, but I will never forget what he said on the air when Faulk was being discussed for the Heisman. (Referring to Cecil Collins), Corso said, “How can Kevin win the Heisman, when he’s not even the best running back on his own team?”
