They'd prefer the GWB approach, shut up and take it.

Would be nice if he called out blatant fake news on both sides. Would help his credibility a lot.

This is exactly what they want and expect, based on the past behavior from Republicans.

This is expected not only from the media, but from the demented progressives who lap up all of their lies without questioning any of it.

I used to get so pissed off at Bush and the Republicans for just sitting back and letting the Democrats and media smear them and not say a fricking word in their own defense. Granted, they didn't have Twitter back then, but goddamn, get on national TV and defend yourself you fricking cucks.

Probably die.

I think much of the press' product is for self-consumption. I think most of their complaints, unfortunately for them, are also essentially being consumed and heard primarily by their peers. The average Joe doesn't care about the press' complaints. They are the least sympathetic institution in the country at the moment and they have demonstrated zero capacity or inclination for self-examination or correction. They have little credibility and no one to blame but themselves.
