i am just wondering how many out there still think it was the right thing to do and it was better to not vote for an adulterer and let the democrat win rather then vote for a man who represented your political standards.
all just because vitter committed a sin?
now after all this time you had to stew in your decission and see the results of what you did, lets hear if you still think letting JBE win by not voting was a better result then voting in vitter the adulterer?

I doubt you'll get honest responses after the dim party just got gutted over sexual discrepancies

JBE has been a better governor than either Jindal or Blanco was. That's why his poll numbers are good now, even for a Democrat in an overwhelmingly Republican state.

Despite increasing the state budge by 11 billion dollars.

My only regret is that the Republicans could not offer a better candidate than...

vitter the adulterer
The whole idea of "vote for our flawed shitty candidate because he is not as shitty as the other guy" needs to end.

JBE's going to win re-election in a landslide all because folks didn't like Vitter. They bit on the apple that Edwards was a "conservative, Southern, Democrat."

While I don't care about someone else's adultery, it's pathetic the Repubs couldn't find someone else to run knowing that was a massive flaw.

I can't speak for them but I saw right though JBE's lies during the campaign after some time vetting him and what I saw was a guy who had the most liberal voting record in the statehouse, constantly voted for Jindal's budgets that he railed against and is only obsessed with tax and spending out of budget holes and a shitty economy while supporting Obama and Hillary at the same time.
If anything, his official actions to date regarding official policy and people in his admin proved what a farce peddling what west point honor code was.
I will never understand why Vitter haters could be enthusiastic about voting for a guy like that when they call themselves conservative.

Hopefully they learn to put their wallet first and foremost if the candidate has not committed a crime or abused tax dollars.
They're voting for someone to manage the people's business, not a sunday school teacher to make them feel good.

What?
You seriously think people like Jay Dardenne and Scott Angelle were better candidates?
They didn't have shite on Vitter's conservative and professional records as they were hopelessly outclassed by that so they had to resort to relentless and outright character assassination that gave the tax and spend liberal a backdoor to sneak into the Governor's mansion.
There's a reason why Scott Angelle got his arse handed to him a year later when he ran for a house seat and lost to Clay fricking Higgins of all people.
Jay Dardenne was smart enough to know he burned bridges and just signed up to be JBE's whore in his house.

Coould he win? Sure.
By a landslide? No.
The GOP can beat JBE if they just simply get out their base and make sure JBE can't get enough of those same republicans that elected him and they make sure they don't have opportunist ankle biters doing everything they can to destroy the front runner to a level where it prevents conservative unity against JBE in the runoff.

Vitter lost because he is a rotten cocksucker, if you ever dealt with him you would know that.
But relax, General Jeff Landry is on the way......to a loss.

JBE voted for Jindal's budgets.
And Jindal still got budget surpluses without raising taxes like JBE has done.

His poll numbers have actually been dropping a good bit. Used to be in the 60s and now they're getting very close to 49.
And we still have two more years to go before the next election as conservatives that voted for him start wising up to the fraud he is.

We got what we're paying for now.
Sure JBE is a tax and spend typical Dem. But you CAN turn your back on him with the only worry being your wallet.
With Vitter, can't trust that scumbag with anything, not your money, not your wife, nothing.

I wonder how many Vitter haters are going to be squealing like a pig if Jeff Landry beats JBE and they're wishing Vitter had won instead?
Kind of like liberals regretting their smear campaign against Mitt Romney after Trump won.
Landry makes Vitter look like Ronald Reagan.

I did not say anything of the sort. Could the Republicans not recruit anyone better than those two clowns? For the record, I did not vote. Edwards is another clown.
Remember this, the national Republican party offered up two worthless candidates in Mccain and Romney in 08 and 12. I was forced to vote for these two clowns because I knew what Obama had in mind for this country.
Republicans, a party which I do not identify with, have gamed conservatives for years knowing that they could never vote for people like Obama.
Most of the Republicans run as conservatives, but govern as democrats...which sucks because Vitter did not fall into that category.
The Republican party wants my money and in return give me shite like the Bushes, Mccain, and Romney.
I detest Obama, but at least me told me he was going to frick me before he did it.
I detest Bush and Mccain because they lied about being conservative.
I support Trump because he never tried to sell me that he was a conservative.

Landry is an idiot so he has a shot.

No you can't.
Not only are his tax and spend policies robbing our wallets blind, his red tape regulation and the constant lawsuits his admin has been pushing has cost this state a ton of jobs man.
He only sees the private sector as a big piggy bank that belongs to the government.
And you say we can turn our back on him.
No wonder Louisiana is dead last in a lot of things.

Holy hyperbole Batman.
Putting aside the fact that Vitter had a very fiscally conservative voting record every stop he's had and that has never been questioned, did he frick your wife or something?

I voted for JBE over Vitter and would do it again in a nanosecond.
And I could care less about the hookers.
Vitter was already extorting other elected officials for public support and making serious threats about how he would destroy their departments or cash flow to their area.
He can go eff himself.
JBE was the first and hopefully only liberal Democrat I will ever vote for. But when the option was one vs the other, ...sorry David.
