Yep the shitty environmentalist forest management policies have nothing to do with it.

Grow all the underbrush, never burn it off, it is "natural", like wild horses.

I mean, I get what you're saying, but you realize that reagan was like 78 when he left office, and Trump will be too if he wins two terms?
Alzheimers had already taken a toll on Reagan by the end of his second term. He shouldn't have run for reelection in 1984, and Trump probably shouldn't in 2020.

There can be a huge cognitive decline from 74 to 78, and another from 78 to 80. Don't know Browne personally, but I'd be very surprised if his wits were as sharp now as they were 2-4 years ago.

ETA - The biggest problem Cali will face is that they are increasing their population density through immigration, and dont have the water resources to support the people who are there now.

Crazy internet conspiracy theory going around is Brown had the fire started.

I love wacky conspiracies, this might be too far out for me to jump in.

If he means no rain...by climate change, than he's an idiot.

You don't build cities in a desert, plant a million fricking trees not native to California and then blame climate change when all the trees die because of no rain...

And those 102 million dead trees and dry brush lying on the ground fuel these forest fires.

Such a sad situation in such a beautiful place. Jerry's a stone liberal, but he's a pragmatist. I wouldn't trust any governor in our region to manage this crisis the way Jerry Brown can.

it’s posts like this that make your troll game so damn good. 20 plus down votes and no one bats an eye. Day in and day out and not one person has caught on to the commercial grade trolling you do here on a regular basis. You sir are a craftsman, and I slaute you.

Also, sorry I blew your cover, but that post was trolling perfection.

This is going to get Brown removed from office and scuttle any chance of Kamala Harris running for POTUS and she'll probably get removed as well.

Meh, Dad is 86 and still hasn't lost enough of his mind to become a Dem. He became a Civil Engineer using a slide rule. None of fancy gadgets and gizmos and GPS and stuff today.

The day after he graduated he jumped down from the bed of a State pickup truck with scope, stick, and a hammer and started surveying from Ruston to Shreveport for I-20.

Trump is 70 and runs rings around the press corp half his age, physically and mentally. He'll be fine well into his 4th or 5th term after we amend the laws to allow unlimited terms for POTUS!

Southern California is quite literally a desert

To be shocked when things in the desert catch on fire and to be shocked when you do not have water because it does not rain in a desert by definition...

Move to Michigan there are no forrest fires there or a lack of water
