Do kids still sit on Santa's lap?

My kids are older and I hate malls. The fact that in the 60's we hoped up on Santa's lap and handed him a wish list with our address on it is scary shite!

Yes. We took my niece today. She hopped up on Santa’s lap and told him what she wanted. She also mailed her letter at the Macy’s mail box. It has her name and city, though not her actual address.
