In the wild event that we still have a shot at the 2 seed? We own the tie breaker over Carolina and I don’t see the saints losing another game this regular season. So wouldn’t we want Carolina to beat the Vikings? The Vikings could lose to Carolina and GB (if Rodgers is back). The Rams could lose to the eagles, Seattle, and possibly Tennessee. And the Seahawks could lose to Jacksonville this week, giving them 5 losses

Thanks to that fixed game last night, it virtually eliminates the saints from the top 2 seeds. It would require a ton of help which likely won't happen... The Saints just need to win the remaining games and get a first round home playoff game against Carolina or Atlanta.
And we should hope that Seattle finds their way to play against the 3 seed. This would likely send Seattle/Rams winner to Philly and Saints/Carolina winner to Minnesota!!! A better scenario than the Saints playing seattle in round 1.

Nah, it's all about the division now.
Carolina loss cripples their chances, and the saints can then win the division if they win out the remaining home games.
Leaves us with no bye in the playoffs, but in that scenario, the Saints can consider the Buccaneers game a bye and rest everyone. Play the practice squad and put Hill at QB and Chase Daniel at LG.

If we find ourselves in a situation prior to playing the Bucs where winning or losing isn't really gonna matter and we have division locked up, you make a good point. I would rest every starter I could. Obviously we need to win the next 2 to do that.

People didn't listen to the thread yesterday before the game, but we needed that game just as bad as they did.
We are now in a weird fricking place where we can actually miss the playoffs.

We just need to hold serve at home the next two weeks. Division is still ours to win.
The only good part about a Thursday game is the 10 days of rest after.
We need to get healthy for the next 2.
