Subway from Homicide: Life on the Street - amazing performance by Vincent D'Onofrio

As far as gut wrenching goes, Andreas death is the worst on Breaking Bad. She's the innocent mom of a little kid and Todd shoots her in the back of the head while Jesse watches helplessly. That's scene is fricking brutal. LINK

Forgot about that one. Was indeed brutal. The thing that got me about Jane's death was the turmoil and conflict on Walt's face (Bryan Cranston nailed it in that scene)

Why does this thread keep popping up when Jurassic Bark is the clear winner everytime? It just makes everyone sad, and nobody wants to be sad during Christmas time. For shame OP, for shame.

Band of Brothers when they found the concentration camp.
That and the interview where he's saying the real heroes are still there.
Also, more gut-wrenching than the dog scene.

Objectively false. That scene is an "awww". Old and gray Seymour waiting his whole life for fry to return home is measurable in barrels of tears.
Hell, I got goosebumps just typing the above.

This was going to be my vote.
That entire episode is just sad and has never stopped being sad. In fact, getting older, it just gets sadder.

I wanted to be that guy when I was a kid. Honestly, a big reason why I went to med school.

The episode where Buffy's mom died was pretty brutal.
I still can't rewatch that episode all these years later.
I had developed an inner ear imbalance, which sucks by the way, and the specialist I went to see told me that it was probably a brain tumor that reached the point that not much could be done for it. So, that very night, I watched that episode.
I'd accepted my own mortality at that point, but watching the pain the family and friends went through was horrific.
Of course it turned out just to be an inner ear problem and not a massive tumor so frick that doctor.

Not a fan of the show but my sister and wife were:
Full House when Papouli died.
I haven't routinely watched any drama shows since probably ER but two scenes from This Is Us:
When William died last season in Memphis and the first episode of this season when Rebecca gets Jack from Miguel's house and then fast forwards a year or 2 years later to where she drives with Jack's belongings, pulls up to the charred house looks at it and then wails. I can't wait for the rest of the season to unfold.

I need to rewatch the Leftovers. I remember there being several holy shite/gut wrenching moments in that first season.
