These climate-controlled farms enable a country located a scant thousand miles from the Arctic Circle to be a global leader in exports of a fair-weather fruit: the tomato. The Dutch are also the world’s top exporter of potatoes and onions and the second largest exporter of vegetables overall in terms of value. More than a third of all global trade in vegetable seeds originates in the Netherlands.
Never knew, very interesting. Second largest by value not tonnage but still very impressive.

The official name of the country is the Kingdom of the Netherlands. King Willem-Alexander is the king of the nation. Holland actually only means the two provinces of Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland. However, the name Holland is often used when all of the Netherlands is meant.

They produce a lot of kickboxers, as well.

Don’t they also kick our arse in coastal maintenance?

I agree I edited just now to show by value (and a lot is flowers and such which isn’t food). Post stole from Reddit and I copied clickbait title.
Very interesting though nonetheless

Yes they do. There levee system and flood control is amazing. I lived there for three months and seen this in person. BUT, they don't have to worry about hurricanes, WE DO! It's an apples to oranges comparison really.

Their indoor food supply will be a big military target if the volcano ruins the climate.

The Dutch are the most sensible people I’ve encountered - this article does not surprise.
On the tonnage vs $, makes sense they have access to a large capital rich (relatively) market
