I agree, the league is in a as state and feel the same thing will happen

He could stay, sure. I remember a back named Marcus Lattimore who opted to stay in college another year rather than go pro. We saw how that turned out. His gruesome injury vs. Tennessee that year may have been the most painful on record.

What's the deal with his step family??
Don't know but that always seemed like a PR stunt set up by LSU IMO!

Highly unlikely imo.

As hard and nasty as he runs, with his twists and turns, he's one unlucky moment from destroying any chance at an NFL career. (See lattimore reference above). Go forth to the NFL young man and get your millions while you can. You can always come back to LSU and get a degree (think Shaq).

Yep. Would love to have him for another year selfishly but it’s crazy for him to stay right? Go secure your future financially. I’m sure he would be eligible for a fat insurance policy if he stayed though. Does the university pay the premium on it? How does that work?

I also remember a back named Kevin Faulk that came back and is one of the most revered Tigers of all-time. I don't think he comes back at all, but to act like it never works out for the players that do is a farce.

It's roughly 8 grand for each 1 million dollars of coverage from what I remember. Players find the money...Fournette had a $10 million dollar policy. The university didn't front $80k. That would not be close to permissible.

Only if he feels he has a shot at the Heisman....but he's gone!!!

i dont know the entire details 100% accurately but it goes something like this...
a wealthy white family took him in while he was at catholic high because his mom and brother live in the ghetto in NBR. he wanted out and away from his brother because hes constantly in trouble and guice said he didn't want to hang around him. with that said, they paid for him to go to catholic while living at their house and then he signed with LSU. he still "lives" with them but they provide his financials, car, apartment, etc.
he was snap chatting about his new room in their new house in covington saying wow this is crazy and he calls the step family's mom, "mom".
i admit, he has no reason to stay, but his step family has him covered so hes not struggling while in high school/college

Crazy - fair play to that family. The culture is different where I'm from and family is family. I hope when its Guices turn when he makes it - he looks after his mother and relatives that are worth helping.
Hopefully there are no "strings" to the arrangement in the first place and that white family are just genuine good doers.
And hopefully they tell him to go back for his senior year

The only reason for him to come back is to improve his draft spot.
From a Math stand point, odds are not good he will go up.
He gone.

99% of the time a degree goes further than football. Guice, like a lot of our guys, fit in to that 1% category. They have to take advantage when the iron is hot.

Guice is one of my all time favorite LSU players (and I am 61) and I truly wish he would stay but he is a gone pecan.

There is zero chance. His stock will never be higher.
