Stop it. You don't believe that. Go look at Sumlin's SEC record, especially against the West. It's not pretty. When you evaluate Power 5 coaches, start with the conference record because unless you're Ed Orgeron (who couldn't beat Troy), your AD gives you at least three non-conference wins at the start of every year.

Where it gets interesting is if A&M has to settle for someone like Chad Morris, who has done well at SMU. But SMU is in the American, and Sumlin came from Houston in CUSA and didn't do much at A&M, especially after Manziel left.
