Do you ever read the rant?

The answer is simply, he will never win some over. The sad truth is that some people here would rather LSU lose to see O fired, to be able to say they were correct, rather than LSU be really successful.

The verdict is still out because it was a down year in the sec, but that aurburn win looked nice.

Honestly, given the state of the SEC, he has underperformed this season.

He has earned enough of my respect to give him the benefit of doubt going into next season. We will have to see how it plays out.

a season with possibly 5 SEC coaches getting fired is not a good one to gauge your new coach with

Coach O won the fan base as a whole over a long time ago. The rant does NOT represent the fan base as a whole. This bunch of idiots think they know a lot more than they do. The fan base "as a whole" still loves Coach O.

People who love O will point to the Auburn win, and the performance since the Troy loss.

People who hare O will point to the Troy loss constantly, and remind you how much the SEC sucks.

Anybody with a brain realizes that the Troy/MSU performances were awful, and unacceptable. But they will also give him credit for beating Auburn, not losing the team, and taking care of the rest of the schedule. The verdict is still out. As O continues his career at LSU, more questions will be answered. Anybody saying with 100% certainty either way at this point is a moron....and there happen to be A LOT of them on this board.

Ok let’s say he lost the fan base with Troy. So is he winning a majority back with the winning?

You and your 5 facebook friends don't represent the fan base as a whole either.

When he does what Miles couldn’t do, I will be won over.

Its difficult to judge as of now due to the state of the conference. Next year will be very tellin IMO

Which is?

If you are expecting a national championship every year...you will be sadly disappointed in anybody coaching at LSU.

If you are expecting to beat Bama every year, you can also prepare yourself for disappointment. NOBODY has been beating Bama with any sort of consistency. Its not just LSU.

Had he not had the Troy debacle i think he would have. Losses like that will always bring on the detractors.
