MAGA

By allowing rich people to continue to control everything and make decisions based on their own financial welfare instead of what's best for the country.

But he's gonna drain the swamp of DC!!!

fricking pisses me off. None of these old tards even realize like 90% of the comments sent to the FCC in support of the repeal were sent by bots. Nearly all organic comments were in favor of net neutrality.

This is a very serious issue, and I dont think its being treated as such. This has been made into a d vs r issue and it shouldn't be at all.

Free websites will go out of business or you will have to start paying for it.

And not even websites, it's about online services you use as well. Those prices will go up as well.

they are attempting to make it a partisan issue when this affects everyone regardless if youre D or R

it won't make much difference to us either way
However, I also think it will provide more incentive for innovation in internet access much like the deregulation of Ma Bell did years ago.

The same, or very similar, hysterical cries from the unknowing masses were heard across the land when that happened.

internet needs to be treated as a utility. Imo, if you have the ability to use imminent domain for a right-of-way then you aren't 100% in the private sector and you should be subject to oversight by the public.

So instead of being able to pay for faster internet we will just pay more taxes for shite internet, in all likelyhood

How many internet providers do counties like England and Germany have? It was always my understanding that without the monopolies Europeans had more choices, better service, and cheaper internet service.

In England each ISP gets to decide if it wants to operate in a certain area, not some local monopoly keeping them out. Data caps are not a thing there.

Yeah, and I’m keeping tabs once this website on which idiots to blame for this. So far I’ve got DarthRebel, ShortyRob, LSURussian, and Taxing Authority. Plus I will also be voting for the opponents of my a-hole Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn as well as the members of the house when they come up for reelection. They sold the country to Comcast.

You realize Youtube is owned / controlled by Google right?

Oh, and putting John Oliver out there as a credible source to explain anything destroys your credibility. There's nothing about John Oliver that isn't heavily biased and nothing he does that is free of an agenda.

I feel compelled to side with whatever argument is opposite of yours, because of this. Congrats.
