So all the reviews are wrong? Not being a smart arse but in almost all comparisons, the reviews choose the Colorado.

Chevy is paying out the arse for all the "awards" that douche bag in their commercials never shuts up about.

And at the downvoters that don't realize that's how magazine reviews work.

I'm not too concerned with resale at this point because I plan to have it for 6-8 years

Then do what with it?

Sell it?

Do not buy a Colorado or any GM. I had a 2016 GMC Canyon-the Colorado twin and it was a massive piece of shite. One year in and the entire steering column was being replaced along with all sorts of other issues.

I will echo this. My dad has a 2013 Sierra and it has been nothing but trouble from day 1. It’s literally in the shop at least once every couple of months with some new issue.

First it was a transmission issue, then a cracked dashboard issue, then a door issue, then electrical issue...just a colossal boondoggle.

I had an ‘03 Silverado that gave me a shite ton of problems too. Mostly electrical.

I wouldn’t buy another GM product unless I got it steeply discounted and got a long comprehensive service plan

I want one of these. 30MPG in a pickup would be awesome.

Get a fully loaded Frontier and save 10k if you’re determined to go mid-size.

But for the price of a Tacoma is Colorado, I’d just buy a full-size.

Wait for the new Ranger. It is going to be a better, proven design, not as heavy but very roomy. Great power with 2.7 EB with 10 speed and diesel option.

Ford has been selling this truck oversees in places Asia and Africa for several years. It's proven to be tough and reliable.

I commend you for trying to think different than the heard and being willing to go against the grain but obviously you don't know crap about trucks so please don't think you are being smarter than everyone else. Long story short, its a terrible idea. Horrible resale, you think you are saving money but you will lose on back end. You will regret it.

Tacoma will last forever, the Colorado will likely rattle apart within 5 years.

I agree it is the herd mentality.

I just like mine it’s fun.
They tricked mine out with aftermarket sport tires, nice rims, after market brake pads, engines tricked out, got the sunroof, suspension not stock feels like sports car, great sound system, and I overpaid for it.

I was looking for old Chevy S-10 frame and going to trick it out with 305 V8. I had a Chevy luv truck with 350 v8 back in the day, rocking 8 track playing def leapord or Iron Maiden on the track, grass a$$ or cash bumper sticker, and traded it for an Isuzu diesel back in the day after I got married. My wife felt it was more of a married guys truck than the old luv truck. When I saw this truck No questions I bought it. My friend who is a corvette collector thought it rocked also.

Man it is fun to drive and handles great and don’t care what I paid for it.

Most people don't know that those ads are sold to the highest bidder. They have nothing to do with reliability or build quality at all.

He can't. That's why he came to a board where a POS like a Ford F150 is considered a good vehicle.

Most people don't need a full size truck, they just think they do. The Colorado's are nice as hell, and Tacoma is the GOAT of pickups.

I'm not even getting into the baw argument over brands, but I will say, I have 2 kids and have always had a full-size crew cab truck and was a bit cramped with 2 car seats. I wouldn't not buy the Colorado because of quality but more because of space.
