I guess you don't want to hear their most recent sales report then?

I don't own stock in Bud, nor do I purchase/drink their products, so I don't care.

Bud Light destroyed their brand with the Rogen/Schumer ads. Their management confirmed this and pulled the ads early. And since the NFL stuff started, they recently reported that sales are now 1/3 of what they were

They care. They complained to the NFL at about the same time Papa Johns did

I have no dog in this fight, but I watch a decent amount of football and cannot remember ever seeing a Pizza Hut commercial and would not associate them at all with the NFL. I don't particularly care one way or the other if Papa Johns is hurting, because I don't eat their pizza.

Yeah I don't think Pizza Hut is a far comp either.

Go figure

Their sales were already going down. Once again, the people who buy the most beer, young people, they don't like Bud Light. They don't like Bud. They don't like Coors, or Miller, or any of the other bland arse water flavored major brands. The only people who drink that are older people. Young people are all drinking craft beers. AB responded by buying up as many craft beer companies as they could. This isn't some recent trend.

Papa Johns has gross yearly sales of less than 4 million nationwide? That can’t be right

And I’m not disagreeing, I just don’t see how that’s possible. The Manning marketing campaign has to cost twice that if not more

Anheuser-Busch InBev, the owner of Budweiser, Bud Light and Stella Artois, said that beer sales in the U.S. fell 5.6% in the third quarter.

Those are shockingly bad numbers when you consider that they came during the start of the football season and as the baseball pennant races were heating up with teams getting ready for the playoffs. Shares of BUD fell 2% on the news.

quote:

"Bud Light is suffering from some systemic industry trends. Whenever you were the biggest by a factor of two or two-and-a-half, that is going to affect you disproportionately more than anyone else," said an ad agency executive who has experience on beer accounts.

Bud Light loses position as the world's best-selling beer

Bud Light at one time had 29% of the market. They are down almost 20M barrels since then. They lost 5.6% of their sales in just the last 3 months

Hold up, you're saying Bud Light sales dropped 66% since the kneeling started?

Even for you, that's retarded.

Jerry Jones, according to Pro Football Talk, is a significant Papa John's franchise owner with more than 100 stores as of 2014.

The mix leaves open the question then whether it was Jones who was behind Schnatter's using Wednesday’s quarterly earnings conference call to air his grievances against the NFL and its "leadership" (read: Goodell), saying, in part, "The NFL has hurt us. We are disappointed the NFL and its leadership did not resolve this," adding that the anthem controversy should've been "nipped in the bud" early last season.

Closes Florio: "The league office should take seriously the fact that Jones continues to look for new and creative ways to push his agenda, which could be to push out Goodell — either by mustering 23 other votes to block his extension or by driving such a hard bargain as to the remaining terms that Goodell decides he doesn’t want it."

None of that = sales being down to one third as you suggested.

It's clear to most what's actually happening. It's a form of comedy watching these folks take the hook on every single thing that's anti-NFL.
