Those fumbles were bad and at a terrible time but i just want to point out that they score pretty highly on the "Difficulty of holding onto the ball" scale.

The first one, he got fricking stoned at that line and immediately hit from behind. Like a pinball. This fumble was admittedly the worst of two.

The second fumble....i dont know what else he could have done. He had 5 guys on top of him, two hands the ball, and King Arthur just came over and got his moneys worth on a rip. Sometimes you lose a game of tug of war. It wasnt due to lack of effort/ball security.

My point is fumbles arent always due to some horrible mistake by the offensive guy. Sometimes the defense wins.

That being said Ingram 100% fumbled on that play where he hurdled the defender and landed on his head. The replay showed he lost ball while he was like 6 feet off the ground. I would have been livid if i was a bears fan.

Looked to me like fumble #1 was due to an ILLEGAL helmet to helmet hit.

#2 his knee looked down but it was not definitive.

Ingram is a stud imo. He plays every single play like its his last. Sometimes he has a fumble or two but he owns it. I will ride with Ingram all day long.

The second fumble was out of his hands (get it?)

He had a death grip on that ball, and the defense somehow pulled it out.

He should have been more careful with the first fumble.
That one is on him.

I don't agree on this, I don't think the ball came loose till he hit the ground.

The ball literally fell to the ground from 6 feet in the air.

Anyone who has played football or watched the NFL for a while knows that fumbles DO happen.

I think Ingram has stepped it up in recent weeks. He’s been running hard, and I think the AP situation really got him focused. This may be the best I’ve seen him look in his career, but he HAS to be counted on in those types of situations.

The head coach and team trusted him as a vet back to be able to carry the ball and run the clock down. He proved he could not be depended on, twice! The timeliness of the fumbles are inexcusable. One? Sure
Two? And on the very next series? Absolutely inexcusable

Ingram runs hard, but that's also what gets him in trouble. Instead of going down, he wants to try and grind out an extra 3 inches while the defense is in psycho strip the ball mode.

Had the Bears had a competent offense, we would be sick right now over losing a game we frankly dominated from the start.

Just glad we didn't and I know Ingram will bounce back and play better down the stretch.

Yeah I don't really blame him for the 2nd one at all. He had two hands on it and the defense made a play.

He has to get down on contact in those situations. He keeps pushing forward, with nothing to gain.

He shouldn't have played after the first fumble. I'm sure it was lingering in his head, and had some impact on him when he went back in the game. Should have just gone with Kamara.

Who fumbled earlier in the game but lucked out that his knee touched before.

Can you imagine the criticism if he went down in those situations, instead of fighting?

There's no way for him to win with this fanbase.

Ingram owned everything after the game, and repeatedly mentioned that he "sucked" yesterday. When he fumbled twice against Seattle last year, he came back after being benched and dominated the 49er's, hopefully we see the same against the Bucs this week.

Didn't he resecure the ball before hitting the ground? I remember seeing him drop the ball, but thought he caught it again on the way down. Besides, didn't we also recover that fumble, so it would have ben a moot point.

Helmet to helmet doesn't apply to runners unless they're sliding.

I cant find a replay but this just 100% false. He didnt even have the ball when he hit the ground. The final replay showed that. Kind of an "oh shite...snap that ball" moment.
