See if you can get him to go to sleep. That always works on mini me when he gets cold. Plus it’ll give you some peace.
Last year mini me slept through my .30-06 being shot in a 4x4 box stand with only the barrel of the gun out the window.

Busted two out of the plot on the walk in, then had one come in right before shooting light. Big body but couldn’t tell what it was. Might be a long sit unless that wind kicks up.

Without his medicine he can’t stay still long enough to fall asleep.
Had a doe and fawn come in the plot and couldn’t keep still long enough. It’s like he is tweeking on meth. Hell, I’ve seen tweekers with more control over their body movements than him

Box stand .280 with a case of camp bubble gut
Three years ago i started w this group and camp. Hunted 5-6 times first year. Not a deer was seen. Last year had cameras out and had one buck in camera all season. Yesterday I pulled my card after my camera was out since last Saturday. Had 9 different racked bucks on it.
That was as happy as I’ve been in the woods in a while. We still have a couple members that attribute our increasing deer numbers to sheer luck. But the rest are getting in board the train if not shooting every buck you see.

I have a little small doe feeding down the pipeline at 300 yards. Hopefully it’s a good sign of things to come.

I wish I could get our lease on board with that. But they’re all intent on filling their freezer to get to duck season. Then want to post pictures on Facebook proudly holding their 4 point’s head up. Irritates the shite out of me but it’s a family lease (in laws) and I can’t pull out.

I had 2 small bucks come out and start sparring. Then a doe walks out and they both chase her into the woods. Several deer have crossed the pipeline. Then they come out and start pushing each other around again.
It’s been a great morning so far.
Now if they’d only come about 200 yards closer.

Missed a nanny 100 yds with muzzleloader.....look out me left window and three more 40 yds away....turn my back and get busy reloading the darn thing....3 mins later im ready and they gone....damn these muzzleloaders and my bad shot

He says he wants to go all the time but has never made an effort. He wants to say he hunts but doesn’t wanna actual put in the time. No enthusiasm at.
I can remember when I was a kid. If my dad told me we were going hunting next weekend I’d have all my clothes laid out and ready by Monday night and that week was like waiting for Christmas.
