Why aren’t his kids in school?

I agree.
And if you are nosy like me you'll notice that most people that are so consumed with their phones are scrolling Facebook.

I'd put my phone down more often if I didn't have to downvote posts like this.

Also, why are you creeping on some other dad with his kids instead of paying attention to whoever you are eating with? You're not focused either.

so you are in a restaurant, i'm assuming with company, watching other families and simultaneously posting about them complaining of their lack of attention?

Went to California Pizza Kitchen last night with wife and daughter. Never took out our phones. Family time.

Guilty. I did some self evaluation. On Sundays especially, I leave the phone at home and hang with the family.

A lot of us bitched about our dads being at work all the time. Looks like the cycle is repeating, but with phones this time.

Don't blink, baws. And put down the phone.

Maybe they aren't his kids. Did you ever think of that?

Guilty of this. Blink and my girl is almost 2. Left my phone at home last night when we went to dinner. It was a nice change.

Was he on FB or was he working? Plenty of folks are on call and don't have the choice to put the phone down.

But yea, he was probably on FB.

How is me putting my phone down going to help any? I couldn't pick my kids out of a lineup if my life depended on it.

Wish I had more upvotes to give.

I admit I do look at my phone a lot, and sometimes when I shouldn't like behind the wheel of a vehicle, etc.

But when it comes to spending time with my wife and kids, especially when eating together, the phone doesn't come with me to the table. Nothing I like more than hearing my kids talk about their day.

Watched a youngish woman at a yogurt store (could have been a babysitter) with two 8-10 year olds- she never looked up from her phone or said a word. The kids sat quietly and ate the yogurt. Made me sad.
