New Band Songs = Student Section Can't Help Themselves

I noticed in the 4th quarter the band broke out a new song. Crowd enjoyed it. Dancing around having a good time. The band plays it a second time in the 4th quarter and guess what starts up. STTDB. Didn't even remotely match the rhythm of the song but apparently that doesn't matter.
Complaints about piped in music start and end with this. If every song turns into STTDB, then Cypress Hill, players screaming at you to "get loud", and Seven Nation Army will continue.

I mean...right after the final gun the entire student section started chanting "frick YOU, AUBURN!!" so let's not pretend we can expect much else.
FWIW, I honestly don't care. I'd prefer they not act like idiots, but for the most part they tend to stay, are actually loud, etc. What's more, telling/asking them to stop will simply push them more in that direction...and at this point, I'm of the opinion we have bigger fish to fry than mouthy students, so this really isn't a crusade I'm interested in getting behind.

After halftime, members of the GBfTL split off into each part of the student section. They announce they REALLY want to play "Neck" but will only be allowed to play it once if STTDB starts up so please don't say it. They individually ask the students not to chant it.
Hopefully that creates a wave of "peer pressure" to not chant it.
If it works, we get back one of the best spectacles in college sports. If not, Neck gets shelved once again.

it's amazing that they keep that going, i mean it's been so long at this point you'd think the students now don't even remember STTDB

The internet has kept it alive and will forever. There's 30k kids at any one time at LSU. It'd be impossible for this to stop being passed down.

It doesn't matter if it sounds great or sounds awful; if it is funny or trashy; if it is intimidating or dumb...... If it starts, the song gets shelved and they crank up loudspeakers with some craptastic song.

Some ghetto inner city high school band (aka Showstyle band) played neck, and their band/dance team yelled “SUCK THAT COUGAR DICK BITCH” even though we were beating them 30 something to 0.

Stop worrying about it!
Play Neck and just say that while you dont condone the message the entire stadium is yelling, there is nothing you can do to prevent it.

There was a brief pause towards the end of the Auburn Game, right after we kicked the field goal to take the lead which would have been PERFECT for the band to play Neck. I remember feeling the stadium pulsing with energy and everyone looking for an excuse to go nuts. If they would have played neck right then and there...im pretty sure Auburn would have just walked off the field and not even tried to go down and score.
