frick saving money. Spend that shite and make memories. If you don't do it now, you may never have another opportunity. This is the youngest you'll ever be. Don't settle for one bitch, settle for many with no intentions of settling down with one. Save that for a later date. Don't stress over anything and try your damndest to enjoy life because when you're old and gray, you don't want to look back at these years and regret wasting them. Be happy and do what makes YOU happy. And for God's sake, screw what other people think of you! Own whatever environment you're in and act like you're packing a 12 inch slong. Be nice and kind to everyone (because they could die or disappear from your life at any minute) but don't be a bitch. No matter what, spend as much time with your grandparents as possible (if they're still here) and enjoy every second spent with your friends because they'll start marrying off one by one soon and eventually fade away. Lastly, always keep in mind you don't know what that stranger you just flipped off in traffic is going through or the emotional battle he might be facing.
Amazing answer.
I genuinely thank you for answering.
Thank God my grandparents are still alive, I actually see them once a week.

"Chase a check. Never chase a bitch."

When you do find a girl, ALWAYS communicate openly and honestly. Never put up a front.

I agree. Learned this the hard way in a 4 year relationship.
Thanks for your reply and genuine advice.

Dont get married until youre at least 30.
Never let a girl tell you, go ahead, i cant get pregnant
Never let a gf have access to your money, car or your home/apartment
If youre just dating, never disclose the secret location of the Batcave
If your gf has a bunch of hoe friends.. shes a hoe too. birds of feather....
If you cant trust her, dont put a ring on it. If a girl tries to pressure you into marriage.. run!
Do not co-sign for anything
Enjoy your freedom. Once you have a family your ME time is few and far between.
Sleep in when you feel like it. Another thing you wont do as a family man.
Look at your gf's mom, keep in mind thats her in 30.
If a girl gets defensive when you touch her cellphone, run!
You may lose alot of $$ chasing kitty, but youll never lose kitty chasing money.
Thats all i got man.
One more. Live together at least a year before getting married. Takes a while to learn all of a womans habits ect. some of which may drive you mad, best to learn them beforehand.
Never ask a girl a personal question if you cant handle the worst possible answer. Had a buddy who was pretty proud of himself ask his woman whats the biggest shes ever had? Her answer nearly ruined the relationship... until she told him she was joking and wanted to teach him a lesson. Apparently she told him the guy she dated before him she could grab him with 2 hands and still need another hand and a half to fully cover the guys unit.
He told me, man i was fkd up for days. I couldnt even look at her. Then she came in one day laughing, saying thats what he deserved asking about her past while she didnt care about his.
So dont ask about hers and dont tell her about yours.. nothing good comes from it

Save the money you make! Let everyone around you live it up live modest and frugal. 35-40 yrs old comes FAST. You want to be the one with 6 figures in the bank, not 6 figure lifestyle but waiting on your next check. Life will be way better my friend.
*If possible NO KIDS until you're in your 40s or maybe never LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!

Stay fit, learn basic game with women, don't get married until 34, max IRA and contribute at least 10% to 401k each year

Have at least one kid.
It's the best thing I ever did.
Congrats on your promotion.

Be real careful of whom you pick to have kids with for they wil be connected to you forever and have the potential to make your life a living hell.

Take every raise and earmark 1/3 to savings.
Wrap your rascal before you buff the muff. Kids are expensive. They are more expensive if you aren’t married to the momma.
Last but not least PIIHB.

Get self employed as fast as you can

Get experience in your field and then move away from Baton Rouge. There is a big country out there with a lot to offer. Nothing here except 7 days a year for football. Plus over the last 20 years BR has taken a turn for the worse.

Do your best to save half of your take home pay.

Don't get married.
Better yourself.
Plow as much as you can.
Find a younger woman when you are older

I'm a couple years older than the OP but always enjoy these types of threads and the advice given.
And I concur about how your friends marry off one by one and your friendships fall by the wayside usually. That's a tough thing.

Wait until you have a years income in “hip pocket” money before you have kids.
