Talked to Weathersby outside the stadium after the game. He seemed like he could play yesterday by the way he was walking, kJ on the other handle was on crutches and walking real slow down the road. From my observation I would be shocked if he played against bama he was really hobbling.

Not sure but their backups are playing better than starters.

I know they haven't said it but everything points to weatherby having a concussion
So he probably could walk ok.

Yeah he had that extra helmet padding stuff last game and then went out with heat related headaches
Ain't no sprained ankle.

How long does it take to recover from a concussion? Or is it all based on the individual?

I'd imagine as long as they can keep their eyes open without blinking.

The individual, his concussion history and the severity of the concussion.

More based on the concussion. All players take base line testing before the season and have to get back to those results before being cleared to play.

The direction of impact can affect the severity. But just like some people get over the flu in 1 day and others 7, the individual is going to be the biggest factor.
From what I understand, side impact is worse because of potentially compressing the hemispheres and 'more room to slosh around', but we're way out of my wheelhouse here.
I'm only going on what a doc told me back in the day when I had one. And that was way before a lot of studies... and really, how much can a concussed man understand of what a doctor is telling him.

Typical concussion protocol states that one must be 7 days symptom free after the first concussion. The way that works is once your symptoms abate, (no dizziness, confusion, headaches, upset stomach, or sensitivity to light) you begin the concussion protocol: Light, non contact activity, followed by strenuous non-contact activity, followed by limited contact, then return to normal activities. If at any time in the protocol symptoms return then activity is stopped and the protocol starts over when symptoms stop.
For a second concussion during the season, the symptom free time period is longer than 7 days.

Does anyone know when he sustained the concussion or how bad it is?

We have our line now. Put those two on bench

Haha yeah agreed. But I still wanted to know how bad they were injured.
