Possibly. Just my reading but it comes off more personal then just assessing the situation. Like he has something invested. In his position he has nothing to lose by running with this second hand info like he has.

It's because Landry grossly exaggerated it.

Off topic...did the Florida game send you back to your pre-Troy assessment, or do you still feel the same as last week?

Was that whole thing legit?

He was sick, but Ott trolled everyone and the rant ran with it.

But I'm sure some believe it. This thread is a good example.

I feel pretty much the same. The adjustments were nice to see. The ability to adapt is welcoming. But there is still no excuse for the Troy game. I want to believe that was a 1 time thing because I want this team to succeed. I want the recruiting level to be maintained. But I can't trust that it was. Tough situation.

Very well stated. I completely agree.

Gordy and Alleva are super tight

They had a segment on Joe Alleva on the TigerZone last night. Gordy and Chawly defended Alleva and I couldn't believe it. Their narrative is "all ADs are disliked." But they literally had not a single concrete thing they could defend him on. The only positive they listed was Joe's hiring of Beth Torina.

IMO, the damage is already done. It has nothing to do with Landry. The cracks are happening from the inside, not the outside. Time will tell, particularly by season's end. Just hoping Aranda isn't one of the casualties.

judging by LSU's reaction to it, there's probably some truth to it

My thoughts as well. The Landry segment was cancelled within 24-36 hours of his podcast.

He cited Barry Alvarez directly and probably did so with permission. It’s not hard to make the connection between Alvarez and Aranda, and if Aranda is bitching to someone else about the program it is a true testament to how bad things are!

Where can you find the podcast where he pulls the curtain back?

I've listened to several others that he has done including the recent one, firing/hiring process last year.

alleva is so fricking stupid when it comes to these manners, your best course of action is to not acknowledge it or give it any credence....having him yanked does just that

but since Joe has the temperament of a petulant child, he does things like this.

This should be everyone's stance. I think they will continue to grow should everyone stay healthy. Long term doesn't look promising with this staff and several key members which means recruiting will most probably suffer until there is positive change.

It's unfortunate spot that the administration has put us but it shouldn't be all that surprising considering the track record.

Just two weeks ago I was telling a buddy who recently moved to Philly about how 104.5/9 was shoving some guy Chris Landry down our throats as he was on every single show on the station throughout the week. Now this happens and poof is Landry gone from the airwaves like Keyser Soze.
