What ya got?
Best Buy has an insignia for $350, figures that was pretty unbeatable but wanted to check since it was the first one I came across
What should I look for in the specs? Is refresh rate the most important thing to look for? It’s going in the garage so it doesn’t have to be great, just trying to get something that ain’t crap

Start watching Best Buy two weeks before Turkey Day.
I snagged a Samsung 48 inch, 1080, 120 refresh rate for $279. Model 5201.

Perfect timing for this thread. The screen on my outdoor 55" just went out. Its crazy how cheap these TV's are now.

The TCL 4k TV's have lots of good reviews. My vizio is crapping out and I think I will be replacing it with that.

They have the Phillips 55” 4K smart tv for the same price as the TCL at Wal Mart also. I bought one about a month ago and I love it.

My old Sony 60'' back-lite just went out this morning..I have that thing for over 9 years. Bulb would burn out every 2 years. I went and got the Insignia 55'' one you are talking about, so far so good. They had a Sharp 65'' on sale for like $840 (?). I just couldn't justify spending twice as much..The insignia has a live TV pause which is cool. The menu system is stupid but I guess I will get used to it. All in all seems to be a good buy.
One thing I forgot to add, The salesmen told that the new line of Vizio Tvs DO NOT come with a coaxial cable hook up. How stupid is that..

Picked up the TCL 55" on Friday and it's a hell of a TV for the patio. Used it all weekend and couldn't be happier.

Bought the 49" version (due to space limitations) of the TCL a couple of weekends ago at Best Buy and couldn't be happier with it!
TCL 49" 4K Roku
I also got the Sideclick for the remote to control my soundbar. It was easy to program and works flawlessly.

Stupid question time.... Will a normal universal remote work with this TCL TV? I like to have buttons to press for the channel I want to view.

Got this one today before seeing this thread. Price allowed me to snag a Sonos playbase. All in for 1200.
