Christopher Columbus was an idiot who first of all was not the first to "discover" America, wrongly believed he had found India and went to his deathbed still believing this, and also brought disease, starvation and enslavement to the natives.

He was the first WOP in America. Show some respect.
Wait, he wouldn't have been a WOP. He probably had papers but not that it would have mattered to the Indians.

Is that my problem? I couldn't give less of a shite about Columbus or his day. All I'm saying is that when you base your opinion/support/determination of value on what gets the "other side" riled up, you are part of the problem. Critical thinking would probably be a better avenue. But hey, you do you.

Columbus started the transatlantic slave trade
False. Tribe A conquered tribe B and sold them to white man C.
In this basic flowchart, tribe A would be the one who starts the slave trade as they are the ones whom obtained the goods to be traded.
And the whole moose limbs trading Africans for a good long time before white man C bought tribe B.

Did white man A & B not offer enough money?

It doesn't matter if he wasn't first, it matters that his discovery stuck and changed history. The Chinese explorations did not result in permanent settlements. The Viking colony survived for a time, but was eventually abandoned. Columbus is deserving of the praise he gets.

As much as I LOL’ed at this, I think you got it backwards. White people are the suckers that work to pay for Air Jordans. That’s magic.

WSJ had an article on Columbus a week ago. It said he did NOT mistakenly call the natives 'Indians' thinking he had landed in India. He knew he wasn't in India. He called them a word loosely translated as 'not very advanced people.' It later got turned into 'Indians'.

Sure, but his sailing is almost beside the point. The reason there is such thing as a Columbus Day at all is because Italian-Americans celebrated Columbus' accomplishment as a source of ethnic and community pride. Likewise, it's not controversial today because of Columbus' sailing but because of the mixed results of colonialism and because Italian-Americans have made their way into the American concept of whiteness (hence the OP claiming him as evidence for "white people are magic") and white identity politics.

It's not like Indians had any issue whatsoever with genocide, rape, murder, or just plain general cruelty. That they were noble, peaceful savages is a myth.

Columbus was a Dreamer, before being a Dreamer was cool.
Why does the left hate Dreamers?

India has a billion people. We get mostly their higher caste. high IQ folks immigrating here.

Those types of Indians pool money so they can buy reliable but seedy businesses such as tobacco/head shops, liquor stores, and gas stations that are awful for the community. They also get federal dollars for being minority owned. They then staff them with family who get paid under the table and might literally live in the shops. Once the owner gets his BMW, he pays it forward and the cycle continues. Other races do similar things with nail salons and what not.
This type of ethnic nepotism that all other races participate in is literally illegal for white people to do.

Columbus claimed the new land for the Christian king and queen, and, therefore, his legacy needs to be continuously and progressively smeared with newly discovered lies. And little native American children need to be taught that their ancestors were all wise and noble people who lived in harmony wit nature and each other just like little African American children are taught that that their ancestors were all royal princes and princesses.
