Alleva Termination Timeline - between October 13 and December 9?

I posted this in response to a thread a few days back, but this seemed better suited to its own topic. I'm hoping we have some folks in here who've actually dealt with the BOS on some level.
Perhaps someone more well versed in BOS procedure can correct me, but my reading of the BOS Bylaws is that only the BOS can take action on something like firing an Athletic Director (see "Matters Requiring Approval by the Board, Section 11(b), pg 11).
LSU BOS Bylaws
It also looks like any such "Significant Board Matter" would have to be submitted to F. King for notice (but not his approval) at least 15 days prior to the next regularly scheduled board meeting, although in "exceptional circumstances" which should be "rare," it looks like you can get away with as little as 5 days' notice (see "Timing for submission of proposals," Section D(1), pg 14). My guess is that's exigent circumstances like the university about to go bankrupt, not getting Alleva out 2 weeks sooner.
There is a BOS meeting a week from Friday on October 13, but the deadline to submit agenda items is September 14, 2017. That's much more than 15 days before the meeting, so perhaps that deadline is for non-significant board matters, and things like Alleva could still get onto the agenda.
LSU BOS Meeting Schedule
I'm guessing that's for normal agenda items under Article IV, Section 4 on pg. 3, not Significant Board Matters or the like. Either way it would have had to be on the agenda by Thursday, September 28 to make it into this meeting unless the "rare" 5 day notice was somehow invoked. The agenda for the 10/13 meeting is not yet online, so it's not possible to know if an Alleva firing is on the Agenda yet, or if it will be there at all.
Article II, Section 2 on page 2 allows for the Chair to call a special meeting anytime, or the Secretary can do it if 9 other BOS memebers sign off on it. I'm not clear on if a Significant Board Matter can be handled this way, but I don't see a clear prohibition on it either. Again, if anyone else more politically savvy than me has more details, fire away.
Long/Short, it doesn't appear that Alleva can be fired on one person's whim, like a game show. It looks like it'll take time to make it happen properly, even once it's obvious it needs to happen. For example, Rick Pitino is on video offering six figure payoffs to college basketball recruits, and even Louisville has to wait 10 days to fire him. With this kind of money at stake it has to be done right, and doing it right takes time.
If anyone has info to the contrary, or any info on how easy it is to call a special meeting, how often it happens, or how "rare" it is to slide items onto the agenda at the last minute, fire away.

I didn't understand half of that legalese, but this is awesome. Good work! I am on board for whatever (civil) actions can be taken to get Alleva out of here ASAP.

It can’t be said enough.
Get Alleva as far away as possible from our university as soon as possible.

They happen when someone needs to be fired. See Les Miles in 2015 and 2016.

Well it should have happened the second he made O a viable candidate for the head coaching job.
Or if not then, it should have happened before the team was off the field last Saturday night.

I want this entire thing to be behind us. Gut everything. Start from scratch. I want Orgeron and the entire 2017 season to be erased from the books.

It was obvious to fans after the MSU loss. It was obvious to the WORLD after fricking Troy. If it's not obvious to the BoS right here and now, it may never be.

That's fine with me.
If you would guarantee me that by Christmas Joe Alleva would be kicking rocks down Nicholson, I would buy you a really nice tennis bracelet.

Yes. Good work on digging up these facts--- the process is often seen as "just paperwork" yet it clearly matters.
Accountability might fit into mix.. here's hoping.

I agree, however, wouldn't surprise me if the BoS is waiting to see what Tiger Stadium looks like for the Auburn game. Doesn't matter what happens in Florida. If they see asses in seats, business as usual. No asses in seats, they start thinking about next year's season ticket sales.

Are you sure about this? All I can find is a September 9, 2016 resolution to approve a slight bump in Miles' bowl incentives, and an October 21, 2016 (i.e. after he got fired) statement from Athletic Committee chair Chatelain that deferred it to another meeting since it was not "time critical."
Do you know if there was a meeting in between, and if so how it happened?

"BoS is waiting to see what Tiger Stadium looks like for the Auburn game. Doesn't matter what happens in Florida. If they see asses in seats,"
NO!
The BoS is composed of political lackeys who are tied to one Governor or the other. Their job and the power it brings is all they care about. Empty seats look bad but they already got this years ticket money and they could care less if anyone shows up or leaves the game.
Try to wrap your head around this Rantards.. You and your opinions do not matter one iota to the Bos!

I want Alleva fired more than I've ever wanted anyone fired in my life.

Thanks for your research OP - bookmarked those BOS bylaws.
Looking like the process of replacing Alleva will take time - and I'm perfectly fine with that because I understand what's at stake here. Whoever gets the job will figure out what to do with Orgeron. Hard times ahead, I fear.

I'm pretty sure we all know it's our $$$$$$ and not our opinions that matter. That's why I mentioned something about next year's season tickets.

Yes--
well stated.
$$$$ + ticket sales...concessions...tshirts /gear..
BTW:
...this phrase concerns me.
I'd hope the BOS boys are hoping to throw Alleva under the bus. It would make them look heroic & perhaps that's another piece in our favor, who knows.
It's infuriating.
